1789 Tasting Notes
(171) Thanks VariaTEA for letting me try this one out. It’s surprisingly tasty. It’s creamy, buttery and so lemony.
I didn’t expect to actually like this one so much so I’m very grateful to have had the chance, especially since I can’t foresee placing an H&S order any time soon. (Sadly, I like the TeaG version of lemon tea much more!)
Thanks Sil for letting me try this one! (175)
It’s IS fruity; just as I was promised. I’m also tasting the tiniest bit of smoke, but it’s very delicately balanced. IT’s a nice wake-me-up cup as I struggle to take part in the day and be productive instead of surfing the internet, reading fic, and playing pokemon. (Some days, more than others, I really don’t want to be an adult!) Ha!
Here’s hoping this cup gives me the push I so sorely need!

This tea smelled so strongly of earth that I had to let it cool a bit before I was brave enough to try it. Now that it’s a nicer temperature I am enjoying the damp earthy notes I am getting from it. I think there’s a little bit of cocoa wavering in the background, as well as possibly vanilla? Interesting! I’m looking forward to steeping this again!
Hmmm. Carlos may be perfect in the eyes of Cecil, but sadly, not for me. Cecil can have him. :)
Although my heart is very sad about what’s happening in the show with canon-Carlos. At least he has good cell receiption? And a battery that doesn’t die? And plenty of opportunities for Science!™. (Not Biology. Not Chemistry. Science! He’s a Scientist dammit!)
Emergency Cotton Candy time!
So we just realized a few hours ago that water was leaking into our house. Crap. Lucky(?) for us, this isn’t our first time in a basement suite that’s flooded, AND luckily it wasn’t too bad. At least – it could have been worse. It could have hit the area of the house where we’ve got boxes of books stacked instead of our bedrooms. So, now we’re camping in the living room and watching tv and just trying to relax. I’m just sorta meh about it because it sucks but we’ve done what we can and the absolute worst case scenario is that we have to buy new mattresses and stay somewhere else if it turns out they need to rip the floors open to dry them completely. I think that’s the worst that could happen. We thought it might have been the insane thunderstorm that contributed to the water, but it might have been the hot water tank. We’ll see tomorrow.
But for now, it’s time for some Cotton Candy and half a bag of chocolate OMG’s. Sweet, sweet cotton candy. :)
OH! And Pokemon Y on my 3DS since I’m apparently not going into work tomorrow – time to game it up!
Hope that gets resolved quickly! I had the sewers back up into a basement suite once, and when they refused to deal with the peeling lino or even clean the carpets, I moved out.
OMG – that’s awful! Thankfully it’s just water, but the bedroom smells so moldy already that it’s wigging me out. I don’t think we’ll be able to save the mattress and now I’m thinking about all those mold spores everywhere and it’s wigging me out.
But thanks guys! We’ve had people over to look at it, and hopefully they get the issue fixed tonight! Then I’m throwing everything in the laundry immediately.
Yeah dude. It freaks me the hell out! But I sprayed EVERYTHING with white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide so between the two everything should be dead. And we bought a waterproof mattress cover so that if that mattress is a bit off, that’ll hopefully protect us from it for a few months (until we move into a bigger place!)
Sorry about that. Its not fun. We got a little water in the basement too, but thankfully only over tile. One of my relatives is still out of their house after the storm last year. They ended up with water damage on all three floors of their house. Not fun. I feel for you.
That sounds so awful yyz! I couldn’t imagine be out of my house for such an extended time. And the perks of renting is that we just need to tough it out a bit longer. Eventually we’ll be able to afford something above ground and possibly to even own our own place… :P

This sounds like joy. JOY.
Ooo, I have to make this tomorrow morning!
