So after drinking two mediocre teas that weren’t worth logging, I came home to my Verdant box! O.O

This was the only herbal I had in it, so OBVIOUS choice. And what a wonderful choice too. It tastes just like a buttery green, and only after steeping it for 10 seconds. I’ll have to see if I can get another infusion or two in before bed. But this is a very delightful cup to sip on.

Ooh I have a packet of this that I haven’t tried yet. I definitely need to! :D

Cavocorax

It’s nice, especially if you want a green tea but don’t want the caffeine.

I’ve had 2 of the other He herbal offerings – Goji Leaf and Jujube Leaf – and they were both really good. I recommend giving both of those a try if/when they come back in stock. I’ll have to put the Mulberry Leaf in my cart if I do another Verdant order.

I added too much cream to this, and left it in the thermos for 4 hours before finishing it, so now it’s a luke-warmish creamy something with hints of cinnamon. I don’t recommend.

So this isn’t my first choice for morning cuppa, but I woke up at 3:00, gave up on sleeping around 3:30 and decided this was the best I’d be able to manage until I’d had SOME tea and could work on making a second cup of something better.

It’s not bad. But it wasn’t memorable. Possibly because I was distracted by Stardew Valley, or by being grumpy about not being able to sleep in until 4:15 as I’d planned, but either way, it’s not a bad tea. And if I hadn’t dumped so much cream in, I might have discovered more flavours.

There’ll be other cups so I can report back in the future.

This is an odd duck but any coffee-tea hybrid is.
The white tea is an interesting choice, but I- can- detect that barky taste I associate with white teas so it’s not lost under all that cardamom and coffee. It’s light and tastes just as good warm as it does when you’ve left it on the counter for an hour and go back to it, but I’d like to try it again with some cream too.

Yeah. In my absence from Steepster I went hard onto coffee for a while, and hard into cream into coffee & tea. O.O (But not always! I wouldn’t do it to a premium black tea or anything like that!)

Earlier today I was seething inside about how every company out there is pushing Christmas so hard already, and how everyone needs to chill the eff out, and then I went and saw this in the story and bought it. Hypocrite much? (Maybe, but likely not).

I took the time to update my cupboard here and sift through what I have. Sorted my iced teas and herbals into grab bags I can poke into when I’m in the mood, and left my caffeinated blends out in easy reach – I don’t have enough! I think at least half my stash is either herbal or meant for iced tea. I barely have any pure black teas and only a handful of blends. O.O But before I get carried away I’m going to sip away and get into a groove with tea again – cut back on the coffee and make more tea at work. The tea press helps because my office doesn’t have easy access to a sink to wash leaves etc.

Anyway this is an okay tea. I was curious about how lavender and chocolate would work, but it does? Both flavours feature prominently but balance out. I’ll probably pawn most of these bags on my child, but ocassionally this might make a nice way to end the evening.

I dug this out of the back of my cupboard as I was craving puerh. I’d opened it years ago but it still tastes fantastic. Gotta love puerh.

Coincidentally, Mandala emailed me today to entice me to buy more from them. TEMPTING but I’ll wait for Black Friday sales if anything.

drank Pure Green Tea by Tetley

Basic tea. Nothing special but it’s not bitter and it’s still definitely green and I’m lazy and tired so it’s easy to make and it’s exactly what I was craving right now.

So this is an average tea, but I bought a tin of it for whatever reason?
It’s tasty though, and a splash of cream makes it a nice treat to get through the morning after Halloween. (How can you go to sleep after all that excitement? You don’t.)

This is good. I’m so stuffed up, and fighting sinus headaches, but this is strong enough to punch through all of it so I can mostly taste it and mostly smell it. That little bit of heat will hopefully keep me awake too.

Not my favourite tea, but it’s good one to get me through the morning.

This tea is so good, and so what I needed that I actually logged in after YEARS of inactivity just to say, yes, I approve so hard of this.

I’m also really enjoying my tea press – especially since my office doesn’t have a kettle or a sink or anything near by. I can deal with the mess on breaks!

Bio

Tea: I just started drinking loose tea in the fall of 2012, and once I started I had to get more and more and try ALL THE TEAS. Joining Steepster made this worse/easier.

So far it seems that I prefer unflavoured black teas, although I still drink a few that are flavoured each day too. Oolongs, greens, puerhs and white teas are all very good, but I just don’t crave them as often.

Yet.

Me: Ok. Random things. I like animals, I have a little girl and a devoted bf, two cats, and … I’m a geek. I like Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, fandom!, pen&paper RPG’s, online RPG’s, video games, silly internet memes, puzzles and a bunch of others things! I taught myself to knit and I’m considering crochet but I need to make time for all these things!

I keep trying to learn languages on Duolingo and failing. I’m currently failing Esperanto. :P
