562 Tasting Notes
Yum yum yum!! I had this one as a latte last night. SO SO Good! I have to get more! But I’m going to wait to get it until… I start my job working there!!!!
I’m on mat leave and I decided to apply for the job anyways. Well I got a call for a group interview and when I heard that 170 people applied, then I really didn’t think I would get it. Well, I got the email and they want to hire me! I’m going to ask them for only a few shifts a week so hopefully it doesn’t interfere with my mat leave money too much. Not too sure how that works… Gotta call someone tomorrow.
Anyways, I am super excited to start there and I know I’m going to love the discount! I can’t wait for the store to open :)
I’m not too sure how I feel about this one. It’s pretty simple. I don’t usually care for pears because of the texture of them, so I don’t really know if this tea tastes like pears or not… It’s nice, but I don’t think I’d get this one again. It’s got a bit of sweetness to it, but yeah… I dunno.
Only got a small amount of this one to try as I really wasn’t sure with the description if I would like it or not. But I am glad that Davidstea did get some straight teas in. That was a nice surprise and hopefully it means more are coming? Probably not, but I can hope.
This one I steeped up this morning but I didn’t use super hot water. I had the water sitting for a bit before I finally used it. Anyways, this one is definitely buttery and not really all that grassy like I thought it would be. I could taste the green tea, but it was so mild. It really was the butter that I tasted more than anything, which was good and weird. I thought I was just tasting the butter from my toast, but nope, that was the tea.
I only have done one steeping so far, but I think I’ll try another one before the day is out. Either way, it’s pretty darn good and I loved how light it tasted too. Hoping the second steep is just as good.
Really enjoyed this one but at the same time, I’m not sorry to see it go. It was unbelievably sweet and worked best in latte form to me. Anyways, drank what I had left in a latte that I used a bit of my Gingerbread tea to have enough tea to make the latte. Lovely combo and helped cut the sweetness of the snickerdoodle.
Either way… SIPDOWN!
The apple flavour of this one is starting to fade slightly, but that’s okay. It’s still a lovely tea with a nice green tea base and a sweet apple flavour. This tea is always so good when it’s fresh. I Hope they bring it back soon.
Anyways, my mind isn’t on this tea all that much… I can’t go into details, but by the end of the week my husband and I have to make a pretty big decision and we are struggling to know what to do. I think we are both leaning towards the same decision, which is great that we’re united that way, but it’s both exciting and scarey if it happens. I’m just hoping me make the right decision…
So, on that note, this tea is lovely. It’s a bit stronger than I would normally have liked, but I will still enjoy it and I’m thankful for it this morning.
I think I probably overleafed this one. I got quite a bit of bitterness from this one, and I believe it’s because I over did it. The colour of this one is very dark compared to what I would expect it to be.
But even still it’s got a great apple flavour. I need to figure out how much tea is good for my tea for one teapot from Davidstea. I always over leaf. Maybe just one perfect teaspoon? I dunno.
Oooh – that’s exciting! I’ve been looking to get a job there too, but it’s so competitive. :O hope you enjoy it!
Thanks! I hope so too! I’m so surprised I even got it. I’m really not the type that usually stands out and somehow I did this time in a good way :)
Congrats! :)
