562 Tasting Notes
Not sure if it’s ‘cause I over did it with tea leaves or if I steeped too long, but this tea isn’t what I was expecting. I’m not really getting the cucumber flavour at all.
Anyways, I will try again. I think I would use a bit less leaves and steep for maybe only 2 or 2.5minutes. We’ll see.
This tea is strange. It’s got a lovely fruitiness to it with what tastes like pineapple and something else too… papaya? It’s so smooth and lovely. Then it has the mintiness to it that you don’t really expect with a fruity tea, but somehow it all works together so well and it tastes really good. I like the refreshing mint taste.
And with my allergies in which a angry state and my lack of sleep ’cause I have a lot on my mind right now, this tea is really soothing me.
I can’t believe I still have this one. I think I need to toss what’s left. My goodness. Three years later?
Anyways, I am trying it as a latte today and it’s not too terrible, but fruity teas in a latte form are just weird. So I think I’ll toss whatever is left and try a different tea in latte form.
A very lovely chai. It really has a kick to it, which is what I love in chai teas. I want them to have a kick.
I’m getting the cinnamon and ginger for sure. I don’t really know what Cardamon tastes like… but either way, this tea is very delicious.
Anyways, I’m going to use the last bit of my sample to make a latte with. I know this would be absolutely dynamite in latte form.
EDIT: I just reread my tasting note on this one from a year ago. I am amazed at how much my feelings towards this one have changed. I really am enjoying it a lot more this time around it seems. I do agree with my note from last year that Saigon chai is better, but this one is also nice.
I’m not too sure how I feel about this one. It’s got a slight bit of… bitterness? maybe not… yeah maybe… I don’t know.
I am getting a bit of cranberry though. I am starting to realize that I do like cranberries, but I’m not sure if I like cranberries in tea. Either way, it’s an ok tea, but I wouldn’t refill it.
Not sure what I just did but I lost my tasting note… let’s try this again.
My aunt gave me the last two tsps of this one that I steeped up into about 16oz of water.
I get the nice roasted taste to it and I definitely get a great chai flavour to it too but I don’t really notice the apricot or even just a fruitiness to it. But I do like this tea. I probably wouldn’t get it again, but I did enjoy this cup a lot.
Just a quick tasting note about this one as it’s a sipdown. This one as good as it is, doesn’t seem to hold up well over time. This one is about 1.5 years old as I couldn’t drink it when I was pregnant. Anyways, I love this tea, but it didn’t stand up that well. The eggnog flavour really disappeared from it. So, the little I had left went out.
I will absolutely buy this one again this winter though and enjoy it a lot. I’m sure I’ll drink it fast too as it’s so good.
Apparently I have never reviewed this tea before…?
Anyways, I love this one. It’s very well balanced between lemon, coconut and ginger. I absolutely love it. I love the white tea base as it keeps this tea light and refreshing. This wouldn’t have worked if it was black tea.
I’ve been told this would be a good one to steep rice in for stirfrys, which sounds so good.
I’m going to miss this one so much once it’s gone for good. I might actually buy a bit more of it before it’s gone forever. Why, Davidstea, why? Why are you discontinuing so many amazing teas?? OR you only have them seasonally. :(
I had this one a few weeks back with my mom and never logged it so this review may not be the greatest.
Anyways, my mom came over to see my little guy Isaac and she enjoys trying my teas and I figured she’d like this one as it’s a white tea and it’s got flowers in it and she likes floral teas… or at least seems to.
So, we made up two cups and took a few sips… My mom loved it, but me… not so much… I felt like I was drinking a cup of flowers. Forals are not my thing and I know that, but I had to try this one, especially since it came in my spring collection box.
Anyways, I ended up giving this one to my mom. I think she’s enjoying it… I think. Hopefully.
Yeah, I thought I’d like elderflower tea too, but it tastes odd if it’s too strong. What about sweetening this and adding it to some club soda? I’ve had elderflower soda and that’s quite nice if you have sugar to balance the flowers.
