562 Tasting Notes
Finally tried this one as a latte.
I added nothing to sweeten it. I remember from the last time that it was quite sweet and I’m glad that I didn’t. I need to start writing on my actually bags/tins of tea any of those things to remember instead of hoping I’ll remember or find the info on these tea notes.
So, as a latte, this tea is fantastic. I love the cinnamon and like almost caramel taste it has. It’s so good. Or is it toffee…? Either way, it’s really good. And I’m getting a very similar brittle taste that the Strawberry shortcake tea of Davidstea had. Oh man I miss that tea… It was on web specials once shortly after it was discontinued and I decided against getting it… I’m still kicking myself for that one… oh well.
So, Either way, I think I’ll enjoy this one as a latte best. The milk just smooths it all out and makes it such a great sweet treat without having to add anything extra to it. Just awesome.
Definitely going to finish this one off soon! I expect it to only last me the week. haha
Bought this one a few months ago when I was still pregnant and thought I was going to be able to drink it while pregnant. Then I got it home and realized one of the ingredients isn’t pregnancy friendly (can’t remember which one).
Anyways, so it sat and waited for me until now. I attempted this one in latte form. I love them right now and I’m dying for something amazing as my favourite is all gone from my cupboard and I’m looking for something to replace it.
So, I steeped up 2 tsp, added my frothed milk…. and I hate it. Ugh… This is the second tea today that I don’t like.
The look of this one was strange. I open the bag and it seriously looks like powder… or dust. There were pieces of something in there, but I have no idea what they are.
Taste-wise: what. in. the. world. Seriously. It tastes mostly of black pepper. I have come to realize that black pepper in tea is not my favourite thing. And with this tea, and maybe it wasn’t steeped up as strong as it should have been, it was all I could taste! I couldn’t make out what the base was at all, nor any other flavours.
Anyways (apparently I use that word a lot… oops) I have decided I dislike this one. I wouldn’t get again. I’m actually not sure how I’m going to finish this one. I’m going to try it one more time as a regular tea, but I’m not expecting much.
The first time I tried this tea I absolutely hated it. It was terrible! I took a few sips and threw it out. Today I thought I’d try it again and if I hated it again, I would just toss the bag.
Today… it’s not terrible. It’s not mind-blowing by any means, but it’s not terrible. I wouldn’t get this one again ever, but it’s not terrible… Not sure if today’s attempt did enough to make me want to keep it though. I will probably throw it out.
I did get some apple flavour, but with a name like apple crunch, I would expect some form of pastry flavour or something creamy (which, the cream is suppose to be in there) and yet I taste nothing. It’s very strange. I don’t care for this tea. So… as I write this, I have decided that I’m done with it: the tea and this note. haha
SIPDOWN!
I finished this one last week in latte form and I already miss it. I think this is my favourite tea to use in latte form. It’s so delicious. I have to get a massive bag soon. I’ll finish off some more teas first then make an order :) And hopefully the dollar will be better at that point.
I’m going to start this review by disclosing that I’m not a coffee drinker. I never have been and probably won’t be. I might get the odd ice capp from Tim’s but that’s about it.
So, anyways, my husband and I got a Keurig. I still can’t believe we got one, but we did so that when family comes over that actually do drink coffee, we can finally offer them some.
But while we were at the shop in town that sells the cups individually, we thought we’d get us a few things too, and this is one of the ones that I grabbed as it looked almost like loose leaf in the cup!
So it’s a STRONG tea. Like super strong. I was almost thrown by it. I ended up adding some milk to it to hopefully tone it down, but it didn’t really touch it too much. I did end up drinking most of it, but I think next time I would steep it up and make it into a latte. I would steam up some milk and add it afterwards and see what happens. I bet with the milk it would be amazing.
Anyways, I would get this again and see how well that works before I fully feel about it.
I have had this one for far too long.. don’t ask. I don’t actually know how long… either way, I’m enjoying this as latte form. Because of its age, I went ahead and used the whole thing which in my estimations would be 2.5tsps.
This worked out so well. It’s nice and smooth from the coconut. And it hasn’t turned so I have to think I got it last year in one of the sample packs I got.
Anyways, 6min steep, lots of hot milk, frothed up and inhaled in only a couple of minutes.
As much as I enjoyed this one, I don’t think I would get this again. I know I wouldn’t reach for it very often, which is shown in my lack of having this one sooner. Anyways, enjoyed but not a restock item.
Like many others here, I got this one as a sample when I made an online order with the free shipping.
Smell: Lovely strawberry flavour. It was unreal!
Taste: Fantastic strawberry flavour, but slightly tart from the hibiscus that is in there. I think I would steep it for less time next time I go for it. I do want to get a bit more and try it again. I love the strawberry flavour to it.
