The look of this one is very strange. Like very strange… I’m not sure what to think of the look of it especially with the raspberry leaves. But I decided to give this one a try as I really wanted to know if it was good or not. I had this one as an iced tea. And I loved it. It was light and fruity. Slight raspberry taste to it. It was great.

I use to HATE this tea, which I know I mentioned last review, but I’m seriously surprised that I like this tea now.

Anyways, I made this into a latte last night and I found it to be too much unsweetened, but once I added some agave it really made it a delicious treat! I love the balance of chocolate and orange in this one. I think I Might be able to finish up the small amount I have of this one now!

I really liked this one too. It’s got a nice malty and earthiness but very little earthiness to it. It’s so good. I added some sugar so a bit sweet, but good.

Oh my… wow.

This tea has had last night. Talk about smokey!! Wow. It was like drinking a liquid campfire. So smokey! It’s not my thing at all, but I do want to try it as a marinade or a seasoning for a meat of some kind. If I can find a good recipe, then this Wednesday we’re going to make it.

Frost (Mags)

I think a marinade would work well. :) I like Lapsong iced with sweetener, but it definitely isn’t for everyone!

Yeah it was really good as the marinade! I was impressed. I would absolutely do it again.

I’ve been trying more matchas and I keep hoping I will like them, but I honestly don’t. It’s just my own personal tastes I think. I found this one to just be… not my thing I guess is the only way I can think to put it. I don’t know if it was the mocha flavouring or the grassyness or maybe the combo? But for me it just didn’t work.
I really liked the vanilla matcha, but haven’t found another one that I like. Maybe some day I’ll find one.

My cup of this one went bitter on me. I’m not too sure why. Thankfully it was only the tiniest bit, but still I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to finish it. I think if I had steeped this one up for 2 minutes it would have been better. I’m going to have my last two spoons as iced I think.

Kristal

I’ve gotten so used to brewing my green tea perfectly I can’t stand when it gets bitter either

So, I am re-reviewing this tea. I gave it a 34 last time. I am HUGELY increasing my rating now. I feel it deserves a 65 now. I am really enjoying this tea this time around. It is a lovely chocolatey tea with a hint of the orange fruitiness. I really like it. I also am noticing some earthiness to it, but no fishiness like I said I got last time. I have enough to try it iced so that will probably happen in the next few days. I think I would love to try this one as a latte too.

It’s amazing now much a person’s tastes can change over time.

I totally hear you. I have officially renounced my hatred of hibiscus; I believe the reason I hated it so much before was because I always drank it hot and oversteeped and overleafed. I’ve been drinking it cold, mixed with weaker herbals and am careful about the steeping time and I don’t mind it.

TheKesser

that’s good to know! Maybe there’s hope for me yet with hibiscuc!

I’m a 30-something-year-old aspiring writer. I’ve written several short stories that I’m looking to get published someday soon.

I work as a paginator (I do page layout for our local weekly newspaper) and absolutely love it! I’m also an amateur photographer.
I’m the proud mommy of two sweet little boys! One born Feb. 3/15. He showed up 4.5 weeks early, but thankfully after a week in the hospital he’s great now. :)
The second one came just Monday evening at only 2 weeks early so he’s healthy and perfect!
Life just got so much more busy and crazy but I’m so excited.
I’m married to an absolute amazing man who “puts up” with my tea obsession.

It wasn’t until a few years after high school that I finally became interested in tea. I started with Orange Pekoe double double (milk not cream), and peppermint. Since that time, I’ve really opened up to other kinds of tea and I’ve well… I’ve kind of just went nuts since then.

I don’t drink much bagged tea anymore. It’s mostly loose leaf in my cupboard. The only except are a couple that were given to me and they sound too good!

I would have to say my favourite kinds are (in no particular order): black, herbal, white and rooibos (definitely prefer the green to red, but will drink the red too).

Green teas, pu’erh, and matcha are starting to grow on me but I’m very picky about them still. I am finding I like pu’erh tea cakes much better than loose. And with matcha I much prefer flavoured ones over straight.

I still don’t really care for mate teas but there a couple that are the exception to that.

I drink tea every single day. I absolutely love it. I can’t image my life without it.

I don’t log every time I drink a tea as I don’t want to spam everyone with tons of duplicate loggings, but I will log when I have a new tea, which happens on a regular basis and when I do a SIPDOWN! :D
