I recently sent some of this away in a swap and as I was putting it into the baggie, I couldn’t help but notice how delicious it smelled. The smell compelled me to finally try it. I love all things lemon when it comes to tea. I find it so wonderfully soothing. This tea does not disappoint. It’s all the things you want it to be. Lots of lemon flavour and it’s not a flat lemon either, but rather a bright, zesty lemon. Underneath that is a creamy note that lends well to the lemon and reminds me of a cookie or pastry. This tea is naturally sweet and also brings lemon drops to mind. So many lovely flavours combining to create a luscious lemon tea. The base is perfect. Smooth, mild, understated and doesn’t try to compete with the other flavours. I’m going to have to buy more of this! Another great tea from Butiki!

If ever I needed a cup of tea to help relax me, it was tonight. We’ve had the most miserable weather here in south-western Ontario. Snow, snow and more snow. Also, very cold temperatures. Today was the fourth day in a row that I’ve had to shovel and my poor body is feeling it! I soaked my aching muscles in the tub for over an hour and now I’m parked in front of the T.V. watching 48 Hours Hard Evidence and enjoying a cup of this tea. It’s not bad. I’m not usually a fan of chamomile but it’s nice here. It’s a mild chamomile with mint. I am trying hard to detect the vanilla but I can’t find it. I’m left a little disappointed that I can’t taste the vanilla but it’s still good anyway. I like it, but not enough to give it a re-purchase.

The smell of this tea is enticing. Smells just like sweet, surgery limes. The dry leaf smell and the steeped smell make you want to dive right in. I love the bright lime flavour of this tea. It’s fresh, sparkling and juicy. The marshmallow flavour shines through and adds dimension. The lime and marshmallow combine to create a cohesive flavour fusion and leave you longing for another sip. One of the things I love about this tea is how it lingers on the tongue. The white tea base is light, never turns bitter and works well with the lime and marshmallow flavours. This is the first Butiki tea I’ve tried and I won’t have any trouble finishing the bag. I’m looking forward to trying some of their other teas as I have a feeling they will taste as high quality as this one does.

I love peppermint tea. It helps to soothe and relax me. It makes a perfect cup before bed. This is a good peppermint tea until you’ve had a better one. It isn’t quite as peppermint-y as I’d like it to be. The peppermint flavour is there, but seems dull. It’s good, but not great. I like a bright peppermint tea that has maximum peppermint flavour. Still, this brand is sufficient until a better one comes along. Since I’ve already found a better peppermint tea that I prefer over this one, I won’t give this one a re-purchase.

I’ve loved tea since I was a kid. I used to think it was a treat to have an orange pekoe tea with cream and a lump of sugar. When I was little, it made me feel like a real grown-up! I still love tea and drink it every day. I love trying new teas and find my cupboard filled to the max with more teas than a person should have! I love sitting down and relaxing with a hot cup of tea!

I drink a lot of green tea. The teas I’ve drank up to this point have been relatively boring but that’s how I generally prefer my tea, very low key.

This past Fall my sister introduced me to David’s Tea. She’s been a big fan for quite awhile now and now I’m on the bandwagon with her! My tea cupboard just got a lot more exciting! Now that I’ve become acquainted with David’s, as of late I am also introducing myself to some other brands as well thanks to the reviews here on Steepster!

I’m so happy that I discovered this site (by accident) and can’t wait to start rating teas, writing tea notes and meeting all of the other members.

A little bit about me: My name is Jason, I have 2 cats and I work in the health care and retail fields.
