I was disappointed with this one. I was expecting something a little more flavourful and complex. It just seemed boring to me. On the plus side, it was rich, nutty and earthy and the light coconut flavour was nice. However, It didn’t seem sweet enough for me and was lacking the fruit flavour that I was expecting to be mingled in with the other ingredients. I wouldn’t reach for this tea very often. I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either. Just not exciting or special enough for me.

This tea was an offering from my cousin. He made a teapot full of it. The smell was overwhelmingly fruity. With a name like Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait, I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately I was disappointed, it was just okay. I could taste the strawberry with a little bit of tartness and a whole lot of sweetness. Way too sweet for me, bordering on cloying. It was so sweet that it actually made me feel nauseous. I am not a fan of overly sweet teas. I wish a little more of the rhubarb flavour was present but I had a hard time detecting it from the strong strawberry flavour. It wasn’t offensive or horrible but I wouldn’t run out and buy any for myself. Maybe this would be better iced than it is hot, I’m not sure but it might be worth a try. Definitely not for me but I could see someone with a sweet tooth loving this.

This is lovely. It really does remind me of blueberry jam so they definitely named it right! The smell is of blueberry jam and so is the taste. Albeit a watered down version. It’s not too strong or too sweet which I appreciate as I like a mild tea. I really enjoyed sipping away at this while I was relaxing. I found it comforting in a familiar way. I feel like this tea would be a good base for mixing with other things. It re-steeped well for me and I added a lemon wedge this time. Very nice! Once this one runs out I would consider re-stocking it. A nice tea to have on hand.

My very first tasting note! Upon first whiff of this the first thing that comes to mind is Juicy Fruit chewing gum. Upon first sip, same thing! I just had some Juicy Fruit gum yesterday and the taste is definitely similar. The fruitiness is mild which I like as I don’t like strong flavoured teas. I like that this tea is not overly sweet. I can’t handle a sickeningly sweet tea. I enjoyed it hot and cold. Not sure if this is one I’d always have to have on hand but I will enjoy what I have of it. Quite pleasant indeed!

I’ve loved tea since I was a kid. I used to think it was a treat to have an orange pekoe tea with cream and a lump of sugar. When I was little, it made me feel like a real grown-up! I still love tea and drink it every day. I love trying new teas and find my cupboard filled to the max with more teas than a person should have! I love sitting down and relaxing with a hot cup of tea!

I drink a lot of green tea. The teas I’ve drank up to this point have been relatively boring but that’s how I generally prefer my tea, very low key.

This past Fall my sister introduced me to David’s Tea. She’s been a big fan for quite awhile now and now I’m on the bandwagon with her! My tea cupboard just got a lot more exciting! Now that I’ve become acquainted with David’s, as of late I am also introducing myself to some other brands as well thanks to the reviews here on Steepster!

I’m so happy that I discovered this site (by accident) and can’t wait to start rating teas, writing tea notes and meeting all of the other members.

A little bit about me: My name is Jason, I have 2 cats and I work in the health care and retail fields.
