A lot of cinnamon in aroma, then licorice, ginger and orange peel. Apple on a low level, only far in the background.
The taste is mainly cinnamon/apple, with the rest in the background. Nice and warming.

drank Supreme Matcha Green by Pukka

It’s quite outrageous to call the product “Matcha Green” if it contains 98% of mixed green teas and only 2% of matcha powder.
After steeping it smells of decent green tea with nice floral and grass accents, but the overall aroma is not strong.
And so is the taste. Not bad, actually, but way too watery. And if I hadn’t known there’s matcha in here, I wouldn’t have guessed.
In short, it’s a passable green tea, falsely claiming to be something more. That’s why my rating gets a negative modifier.

Flavors: Floral, Grass

Smells mainly with ginger, but also with a lot of licorice and some lemon and honey.
Unfortunately the taste is dissappointing. Almost only ginger and licorice, only subtle traces of lemon and honey, and water, water, water.

Strong root aroma.
The taste is very earthy, a lot of it comes from turmeric, ginger and galangal, but licorice also plays a huge part. Nice invigorating blend, but it has too little spiciness.

The aroma is disappointingly weak, with only traces of lemon and bergamot.
Watery taste, but with refreshing lemon notes and a bit of bergamot in the background.
Drinkable, but noting special.

Fruity, sweetish aroma.
Taste dominated by lychee, with peach more in the background, but the fruity notes are balanced with the base black malty tea.
Soothing, warming, not bad.

Strong aroma of cinnamon, cardamom, orange peels and cloves.
Decent green base tea in taste, with spices in the background.
Not bad. I think it would be a good idea to brew it stronger, two bags per cup, and with milk, like a chai tea should be done.

Bio

I drink tea almost all the time.

However, my tea drinking can be divided into two main categories.

1. I work a lot at my computer and when I work, I need to always have tea at hand. That’s when I drink bag varieties, mostly black blends, often corporate ones. They need to be at least drinkable, of course, but I don’t focus on the taste much, though I don’t go below a certain level…

2. When I read (and read a lot) or when I’m just relaxing, I savor tea. That’s when the better varieties come into play, that’s when I use leafs instead of bags, that’s when I really focus on what I’m drinking.

I’m Polish, temporarily living in Copenhagen, Denmark.
