Very weak aroma.
And the taste? Very generic poor black tea. No bitterness, no character, no strong notes. Not so bad in the morning, but it has nothing to focus.

drank Turkish Apple by Pickwick

Smells just like a baked apple with cinnamon and a touch of vanilla. Fantastic!
In taste it’s too bland, the apple and spicy notes are too subtle, too much in the background.
Adding a bit of sugar helps focus the taste a little, but I remain disappointed.

Leaf version.
After the first steep the bergamot was on the front, followed by a subtle impression of orange zest and then long, earthy aftertaste.
In the second steep the bergamot and zest disappeared, and earthiness was much more subtle, replaced by fantastic malty and nutty notes.

Really strong and sweet mango aroma.
Still strong in taste, but not as dominant. Too bad the basic blakc tea is very bland and mediocre.

The proper black tea is very bland, and the orange peel flavors are too subtle. I suppose that this might taste better with a little sugar.

Bio

I drink tea almost all the time.

However, my tea drinking can be divided into two main categories.

1. I work a lot at my computer and when I work, I need to always have tea at hand. That’s when I drink bag varieties, mostly black blends, often corporate ones. They need to be at least drinkable, of course, but I don’t focus on the taste much, though I don’t go below a certain level…

2. When I read (and read a lot) or when I’m just relaxing, I savor tea. That’s when the better varieties come into play, that’s when I use leafs instead of bags, that’s when I really focus on what I’m drinking.

I’m Polish, temporarily living in Copenhagen, Denmark.
