Another Tea that was in my package from MandyB today! YAY! I steeped for 2 minutes and sipped because I was curious! Believe it or not this is my very first Might Leaf Try! I know…right!? I live in a small area with not many tea or retail or big box choices so I sometimes am behind the times with trendy and tasty teas! Anyhow…the first sip was AWESOME – it was green tea and tropical and almost an herbal spice like something that should be in a pasta sauce…strange, I know…but bare with me. So I ended up steeping for another minute as suggested. The green tea taste was more powerful as you steeped and the topical flavors were in the background but still tasty. I would have this again. Sooooooo glad I finally got to try Might Leaf! YAY!
Preparation
The boyfriend and I went out for breakfast this morning and I ordered this at the restaurant. Just taking a sniff of the tea revealed a heady fragrance of sweet fruit. I didn’t have a timer of course, so I tried to use my watch to time the steeping. The package recommended 3 minutes so that’s what I went for.
Upon tasting I found the tea to be quite delicate and slightly sweet in the way that white teas (particularly bai mu dans) can be. The fruitiness was only a faint echo but it still made a good impression. Part of the problem might be that it was steeped in one of those little metal teapots which had more than a cup’s worth of water, thereby diluting the tea a bit. Despite that it was a still an enjoyable cuppa and it made my breakfast feel very decadent. :D
Preparation
A very tasty tea- light, with a flavorful tropical fruit taste. Mighty Leaf calls this “a good introduction to green tea” and in many ways that’s true- the flavor of the green tea is not so strong, and it’s tempered by the tropical fruits. This is a good, slow introduction to the flavor of green tea.
Can def. taste the Rooibos blend in this Chai. It is an almost striking flavor of cinnamon to it (like most Chai) and the sweet taste of Rooibos definitely shows through. Has a nice, dark orange tint to it (which makes sense, since it’s Rooibos). Interestingly spicy, though I am not a huge fan of spicy tea, it definitely will spice your day up, wow.
Leaves a type of “grainy” feeling in my throat and I can feel it going down. Do. Not. Like. Teas should be strong, but not grainy like this. It almost burns on its way down.
Cold morning today trying to wake up with my favorite breakfast tea.
Brewed in my 20 oz pot from Bodum
I’m enjoying this with, as is usual for me, milk and sweetner.
Resteeped from yesterday. Light color but flavor comes through.
I’m enjoying this while continplating the first snowfall of the year.

Glad you enjoyed it! :D
