Lipton

This is a delicious inexpensive tea. It makes a wonderful tea latte. The tea is not as strong as I like, but the smooth caramel flavor was yummy!

Entirely not bad. I very much enjoyed the smells, but the taste was a little lacking. Oh well.

I’m in hospital, and a fellow patient gave me a bag of this today. a little boring, uninspiring – quite a flat taste of vague citrus and advent-calendar ginger – but not unenjoyable.

I drank nearly a whole bottle of wine myself last night, if not more. Waking up the following morning, I just wanted a plain black tea brewed strong. Not coffee. My parents have a decent collection of mostly bagged teas, most of which are black and flavored. So this was my pick for a standard black tea. Maybe because my stomach wasn’t feeling well and I just needed tea now but this tasted just fine to me and did the trick.

I’m rating it a 50 (drinkable/decent). It’s your basic bagged plain black tea.

Very boring taste, but this seems to be most popular tea. You see this everywhere! Easily gets too bitter. Yuck!

I returned to drinking this tea after I read that it helps with acid reflux. Now I cannot find it! Amazon no longer has it and I just looked today and it is no longer on the Lipton Website. What is the closest alternative? I like the extra spices.

Reasonably nice sweet fruity-floral. I don’t like hibiscus in anything but luckily the lychee dominates. Can still make out the rose. But it is a supporting note for an essentially fruity infusion.

Blah! Ran out of my Twinnings Lemon & Ginger tea. I took a few bags of this lemon tea from a hotel somewhere (I travel a lot for work, so not sure where).

With lots of honey and a slice of lemon, it’s not too bad. I’m not impressed that the number one ingredient is hibiscus flowers. Lemon is the 5th ingredient on the list. If I wanted a hibiscus tea, I would have looked for that. I want a lemon tea! However, it’s soothing my throat and that’s all I care about right now.

Oh, and unlike the Twinnings tea, I can’t just leave the bag in my mug and resteep as needed. Way too tart if you try that. I really need to gather up the energy to go to the grocery store to get more lemon, ginger and honey.

Add a dollop of honey to sweeten a somewhat bland floral on white tea base.

The jasmine seems wierd & artificial & totally overwhelms the green tea. Sorry but I CANNOT recommend this European version.

Ceylon Gardens, perfect name for tea. My favorite tea, black Ceylon tea with cinnamon and orange peels. This tea is hard to find, and I have seen it only in Lipton Special Collection box. Everyone should try this!

One of most refreshing teas, with distinct aroma. Even smelling it will take you to heaven of aroma. I haven’t found loose leaf version of this, only Lipton special collection.

Hmm brewed this for a quick tea so that I might possibly wake up a bit for work. At first taste, I thought…oh..this is oddly bland. But after a few sips I suprisingly sort of like it. Not overwhelmingly so, but it has a light pleasant vanilla taste. Not bad for bagged tea…

It’s okay but not something I reach for much. A fruity flavor for sure but you can really sense/taste the “just hot water” underneath too if this makes sense. Also a bit lemony. I think most of the issues may be from the flavorings they use, perhaps they cheap out on it.

Wow, so I’m only the third person to review this here on Steepster? I find that sort of hard to believe!

Anyway, I picked this up from the kitchen area of my apartment complex’s office. As it steeps, it doesn’t smell like lemon. It smells exactly like strawberries. As I taste it, yeah, it tastes kinda like strawberries, too. Sort of. The lemon flavor they used sort of shows up at the end and reminds me of lemon candy. It’s not particularly strong and makes me wish I had an actual lemon slice to put in it. And the honey? I’m not sure what they put in it, but it doesn’t taste like honey, either. It’s strange. I don’t like this much.

Enjoyed this with lunch to give me an energy boost.
Even though this was one of my older forgotten teas, it still brewed Nicely and smelled delicious.
Obviously the flavor would have been better if it had been fresh and sealed.

How do I put this delicately? The smell and taste of this tea is terrible. I can smell this tea wet and dry from across the house. Potent and artificial. The aroma reminds me of peaches and a cross between model glue and turpentine. I had to plug my a nose to take a sip. After the third sip, I couldn’t stomach it anymore so I dumped it in sink. That’s $3.99 down the drain!

Had a cup at lunchin the cafeteria. Tried to pour in the half & half first to suppress the sawdusty taste – I think it got worse.

This is what’s commonly served in my uni’s cafeteria. It does serviceably enough for those of us that don’t enjoy coffee, but I have to put an unfortunate amount of honey and milk in it to make it taste good. A crappy everyday tea, but it’ll do in a pinch for those of us with no money to buy good tea with.

it’s light and fragrant and I really enjoy it cold! I don’t know if it’s considered a real tea, but either way I enjoy it when I’m on the run.

I know I am supposed to hate this. I don’t. It’s family.

Speaking of which – last night I was telling my dad about a particular iced tea I enjoyed at a restaurant. He had it once as well. He said it was too weak for him. Then proceeded to tell me of a local eatery that made the best iced tea ever. Yeah, they brew this. It is cloudy. The water is slightly soured. And they use a plastic glass. Mmmm now that’s tea. :)

My rating is high by most of your standards. By my rating system if fits square in the average range. That is what it is blended to be – beige. On Steepster all teas start at 77 as the middle of the road and our ratings adjust it from there. I figure 77 is for an average loose leaf and around 60-65 is my average for bagged. Included just so you know.

32 years ago today I met a hot chick at a party our floor threw in the dorm. Honest, I knew I was going to marry her the moment we met. Forgetting we shouldn’t spend the money we went out today and ended up at Max & Ermas for lunch today. Any one know how to make their Tortilla soup? Love that stuff. We also stopped by Empire Tea Services and wifey picked up a decaf something, not sure what, I will review later. Oh yeah, this tea was cold and unsweet and cooled my throat from the soup.

This smells so awesome and tastes pretty good too! Really refreshing
