Lipton

I had this again at my friend’s house. It does the trick, but I wouldn’t buy it for myself. Sure, it’s convenient, but it tastes…blah. It leans a tad on the bitter side, even with a cooler water temperature and a shorter steeping time. Beyond convenience it’s really not for me.

We were visiting with good friends all day today, so I didn’t have a chance to dig into my tea stash. Instead, I drank a few cups of Lipton Green Tea. It’s what I’ve come to expect of Lipton teabags. They’re convenient, they do the trick, but they’re essentially a one brew teabag. I much prefer loose tea varieties that tend to give multiple brewings. But I wouldn’t say no to a cup of this in the future, if it were offered to me again.

Personally I loved this tea both hot and cold, however I preferred it lukewarm. If you steep it too long however, it has this awkward overly tart taste when you add sugar to it. I personally like this with about a tablespoon and a half of sugar.

Very good tea, I love the subtle citrus flavour and the touch of bluet. Steeped for 3 minutes for the perfect taste.

A rather sweet, smooth tea. I don’t drink it all that often because I don’t like sweet teas. I bought it on a whim because I like black currants, and it’s a nice blend of flavors. Only I can’t let it sit out too long because it’s hard to swallow while cold.

One of my favorite teas to have, especially if I’m feeling too wound up. From time to time, my jaw will get super tense or my teeth will hurt, and this is the perfect tea to calm me down. Also wonderful for when you have an upset stomach!

The only tea-drinking experience more disappointing than being served a cup of Lipton Yellow Label is being served a Yellow Label teabag on the side of a pot of hot water.

When I travel in very basic hotels and guest houses in Asia, I am usually rather happy to find Lipton rather than other totally unknown lower-end brand.
It does not really make for a good tea, but at least it’s not bitter from the first dip of the bag into the water, the tea within the bag is not so powderish as to seep out of the bag and fill the bottom of the cup. The taste is very bland, very basic but not unpleasant.
I’ll never buy it and have it home but I find I can drink it without unpleasantness ;)

I never thought about how the sweetness of chamomile can blend in with pineapple to create a nice light and sweet herbal brew.

I think the bags are really cool, for one thing, and it smells so good as it’s steeping. A little bitter the first time I drank it, not one of the teas that’s good enough for me to drink without sweetening. I love the creaminess that comes from the vanilla, and this was my first go at hibiscus which was delightful too.

Goodness I haven’t been on here in awhile. I still have some swaps to mail out from months ago (I promise I haven’t forgotten about you!). I actually haven’t been home in several weeks and have been extremely busy with work and school which takes me to this rating.

I’ve been staying with my Mom (long story and it’s related to school not marital issues), and consequently I do not have my tea with me. I went to the grocery store in desperate need of tea and was surprised to discover that Lipton made pyramid sachets. It could be because I microwaved my water but I thought this tea was rather tasteless. I can’t say much more than that because I really couldn’t detect any distinct flavor, it essentially tasted like hot water.

I wasn’t a fan of this one hot. I’ll have to test it cold someday. :)

Had this at the airport today. Not awful not impressive but IT’LL DO.

The caramel is very subtle and the tea has a stronger coffee taste more than anything else.

Don’t really have strong feelings on this tea either way, and I’m usually not a fan of red teas to begin with. It’s a little bitter; I think the passion fruit might be a bit too overpowering, I wish there was more strawberry flavor! Sweetened up with honey or something might help it, but I haven’t touched it in a while.

Definitely my favorite of the pyramid tea bag Lipton teas! The ISLAND part of the title just kinda sums it up for me; really refreshing fruity mango taste that is actually as good as it smells!

This tea is stronger than the Island Mango; pretty good, generally fruity. I don’t recall truly tasting the blueberry, but it’s deliciously fragrant fo sho! So yeah a decent tea but not something to write home about.

I bought both this tea and the Lipton Purple Açai & Blueberry Superfruit at the same time and favor this tea over the other one! The fruity flavor is more prominent and refreshing, not too tart and not too sweet. Apparently the tea is becoming difficult to find, though, so that’s a bit of a bummer since it was my favorite Lipton Superfruit. APPARENTLY MY WAL-MART IS STILL CARRYING IT THOUGH…

Generally a good tart fruity green tea~ Not too overpowering, either. I haven’t actually had it for a while now, but I remember it being pretty darn delightful during late nights.
