Lipton

I received some of this loose tea from a lovely friend who swears by this tea as being the best Earl Grey tea available. Now that is a very big claim to stand up to so tonight I shall be the judge.

Colour: Reddy brown
Smell: Sweet jasmine (or if not jasmine then something very similar)

As well as smelling like jasmine it also tastes like jasmine which is a twist on your average Earl Grey. It seems to be jasmine instead of bergamot so it has a floral and slightly bitter taste, almost citrus bitter (similar to lemon rind). I don’t think this is really classed as an Earl Grey under my classifications (due to lack of sweetness) but it is a nice jasmine tea, nice not spectacular.

I will try this again soon and see if my score changes at all but I think overall it’s just an average cup of tea which sometimes is all that I really want.

My roommate and I love this tea. School offers this in our cafeteria, and it is such a guilty pleasure on cold nights. This is a tea that strongly resembles juice, and doesn’t taste bad when the bag is left in for a while.

This was a gift I received along with Bavarian Wild Berry (also by Lipton). I’m not much of a fan of either flavors, but this one is my least favorite of the two. I will try giving it away.

This is a very safe fruity tea that my friends seem to enjoy. I don’t prefer it all that much, though.

This tea is pretty decent for the price. I’ve taken to making soy lattes with it in the mornings, but I do find I have to add a bit of flavouring (vanilla extract, cinnamon) to make it tasty. The tea doesn’t hold up on its own but that’s kind of what you expect from a tea bag.

Mint. Riiiight. The Cafe at my school offers a few kinds of Lipton tea. I didn’t have time to make up a baggie of my own tea before running to class this morning (with the Education program, I now have extra classes at 7:30 am), and the Pub (which serves Tazo tea) is way out of the way. So if I need tea in between education and creative writing, which, to be honest, is always – I’m stuck with Lipton.

Okay, fine. I don’t have anything against the fact that it’s Lipton, really, only that it just doesn’t taste very good. This is no exception. I guess it’s vaguely minty… sort of… and there’s a sort of licorice or tarragon kind of flavor in there too. I left the teabag in for the whole hour and a half of class, and to be honest, I could hardly taste it. It was probably an old teabag, but still. Ick. I need to remember to bring my own tea and just get water.

Meh. So this is ok…but I wouldn’t call it white tea or really blueberry…it just kind of is. If someone dropped this in front of me I would drink it…but I wouldn’t bask in the glory of whatever this tea is. I’m sure ther are better “in a pinch” bagged teas out there.

Made this iced and really enjoyed it. A light refreshing beverage, no sweeteners added.

This made for a rather nice iced tea. The blueberry flavour was dominant, and the green tea wasn’t too bitter, so no sweetener required.

I just bought this tea this afternoon while at target looking for oolong teas, which i couldn’t find. This has a nice flavor but I did notice that it is kind of weak. But overall it’s not bad. I tried steeping it longer to try and make it stronger, but that didn’t work. Also, the tea bag is kinda cool.

This was my first flavored green tea that I ever tasted. Know I havn’t had more then 2 flavored green tea’s but this is my favorite flavored green tea. This is my favorite bagged tea. I had a friend smell this and he made the comment that it smells like a fruit roll up, which it does! there’s even a taste of a fruit roll up. You are unable to taste the green tea in this one though, I have yet to decided if I like that or not. Still my fav. baged tea <3
