drank Lipton Black Tea by Lipton

I went to Ikea today with my parents. We stopped for a quick 99 cent breakfast and I ordered a 75 cent tea. Their only option was this and it tasted good. Not sure why Lipton gets such a bad rating. It’s everything I expected. Simply bagged black tea. Should we expect more? 75 cent unlimited refill tea should taste this way :)

Seeing that Della Terra has their Eight Candles tea 40% off today has me ordering more. That tea rocks my socks.

Time to kick back and watch It’s a Wonderful Life.

An excellent observation. :)

This is a fruity infusion that tastes mostly of hibiscus. It is bright, tart, and refreshing. I have trouble picking out particular blackberry flavor (mostly generally fruitiness) and maybe the vanilla is present as just touch of creaminess. I like hibiscus, but there is a slight off-taste that I don’t like.

Just so Spencer doesn’t feel so alone :)

It’s not the worst I’ve had but it’s still up there.

But we’ve all had Lipton at some point, right?
It has it’s place :)

I wouldn’t want to ruin a perfectly good new-to-me-sample by pairing it with my lunch which is Malaysian Lodeh – Vegetable & Tofu Medley simmered in spiced coconut milk. It’s spicy and punchy and I wouldn’t have been able to give the new-to-me-tea a fair shake by pairing it, ya know?

When I went to Las Vegas earlier this year I remember visiting Denny’s and asking for tea and being served this tea. I was given two teabags but only used one, I still have the other bag. It was harsh and bitter but it did it’s job :)

Haha, thanks! I appreciate the company in my drinking of junk tea. That tea probably does not taste bad with the food!
On the bright side, this was my last bag of Yellow Label. No more in my life!

This tea is cheap and can be bought in any local supermarket with loads of bags. Doesn’t taste too good, better than Lipton’s green tea, but will not make you come back for more or look forward for the next cup.

Just asked a bag from a friend to taste this tea, it tastes okay, not the best strawberry tea out there. It is too fragrant that it made my office tumbler smelled like strawberries for a few days even after washing. Tasted quite artificial.

A better tasting tea that can be found on the supermarket. I drank it with milk and it smells and tastes perfect.

I just asked from a friend to taste this tea. She gave me a couple of bags, and I understood why… this tea tastes likes grass. I had to put lots of lemon/calamansi to be able to drink this tea.

Can be found on any supermarket and really cheap. I guess you get what you pay for.

What sold me on this tea is what sold me on most teas: I held the box to my nose and lightly squeezed it to smell the aroma seeping out. And this one smelled of yummy desserts. Sold! It’s simple as teas are concerned, but is an excellent dessert tea. I even brewed a couple bags in a cup of water and used it for my oatmeal instead of plain water or milk and it was delightful.

Sweet and pleasant on it’s own, but as the previous reviewer said, add a bit of honey or cane sugar and it’s like a rocketship to flavour country.

I liked this tea but not quite as much as the regular orange pekoe Lipton. My first encounter was on a recent visit to Ghana West Africa. In Kumasi it seems to be the standard tea drink (but I was only there a couple of weeks). It tends to be too strong if steeped the usual time as the regular orange pekoe that I can tell. I liked it enough to bring a box of it back to the US.

This is the first tea I ever drank. Lipton is actually the tea company that got me into drinking hot tea when my boyfriend turned me onto one of their fruity pyramid teas…and it just grew from there.

A very ‘meh’ experience, and not particularly flavorful. Unremarkble, except that it gets bitter very easily and like most green teas, should be steeped only for a short period of time.

Weak and flavorless. I had to steep two teabags to a cup. Disappointing overall. It is, however, not undrinkable. I finished the whole box and it wasn’t unpleasant, but it wasn’t great either.

I’ve never a good cup of tea from Lipton

I bought this because it was cheap. I had to force myself to work my way through the box because it has a really weird taste. Kind of burnt no matter what you do.

Just trying a sample sachet. I usually do not like hibiscus. Its presence here is strong but doesn’t overwhelm and the raspberry comes through. Can’t detect the rosehips (not that it’s gonna make much of a difference). Pleasant enough. Perhaps I might get a box.

As what Adelina said, this has a SOUR finish. V disappointing considering its enticing berry aroma.

This is a mediocre moroccan mint tea which tastes like drinking colgate water! Utterly disappointing.

This week, I have been enjoying starting the day with a dessert tea. I enjoy this tea with a little milk and sugar. It brings a smile to my face :)
