720 Tasting Notes
This was very generously included as a sample in my order. Unfortunately, I really did not care for it. Very, very buttery. The rooibos and coconut are also extremely strong, which are not flavors I generally enjoy. Luckily, my boyfriend really liked it. So, he got to enjoy a few cups of it.
My day off, and I was looking for something sweet and cozy. This definitely fit the bill. Marshmallow and hojicha. Yum.
Hojicha is a roasted green tea. The roasting removes any bitterness, and leaves the tea with a very distinct roasted flavor. It’s really comforting and wonderful. Highly recommend trying it!
TTB. I love hojicha, and feel like it’s so under-utilized in flavored blends. The idea of a vanilla pear hojicha sounded absolutely mouthwatering. This is an absolutely lovely hojicha- roast and comforting. The vanilla is very subtle, and I’m not picking up on any pear.
TTB. Really solid black tea. Tastes like a berry danish- notes of berries, and baked bread. Glad I got to try it!
I had cancelled my B&B subscription for awhile, but decided to renew this month after I saw the lists of teas that would be included October-December.
I actually didn’t realize sloe gin was a thing, and had to do some research. Always love learning new things through tea!
As for the tea- love! It’s nice and smoky, but the elderberry is still the most dominant flavor. There’s a bit of ginger peeking through as well. The smokiness and bold berry work so well together.
I absolutely love this tea. It’s sweet, floral, and full of incredible honey flavor. If I could only drink one straight tea for the rest of my life, this would probably be it. My brother and his friend came over for vegan Thai the other night, and I made this for them post-dinner. It was such a treat. Having it again this morning, because I couldn’t resist. It’s also extremely cost efficient, which I appreciate.
Flavors: Floral, Honey, Sugar
I got a mystery bag along with my recent order from Louisville Tea Co (I can’t resist a surprise bag of tea), and this was included. The peach note is quite strong, and works really well with the slightly floral oolong. There’s a bit of a buttery/crusty flavor going on, which turns it slightly into the cooler category, rather than straight peach.
