I swear this tea is keeping me from killing people. Or at least yelling at them. To be honest, I’d rather have a plate of cookies right now rather than a tea that taste like cookies, but since I don’t want to consume a bunch of unnecessary calories I’ll stick to this yummy tea and continue to not yell at – or kill – the people I’m forced to interact with today.

Meh. The spices are too weak for my taste. I have found that I like rooibos best with chai spices, and the mix does work fairly well here.

This tea made me stop, sip, and just enjoy all of the flavors it has to offer. There is a fruity – almost candy like – cherry note as well as a bright, clean eucalyptus flavor. It might seem like these two flavors shouldn’t work together, but trust me, they do. The eucalyptus note is light enough that it doesn’t overpower the tea. Instead, it heightens the tea’s fruity cherry note and natural sweetness, and it leaves a clean feeling on the tongue. There is also an orange note that is most apparent at the end of the sip and as the tea cools. I find the citrus note both surprising and pleasant, and I think it brings a fullness and bit of sparkle to the cup. I thoroughly enjoy the mix of flavors and am so impressed by this truly lovely Ceylon.

I have a lot of samples that I really need to use before they lose their flavor. I started with this one since I’ve had a couple of people send it to me and I’ve been saving it for a lazy Saturday. Today seemed like the perfect day to enjoy the cinnamon-y, bread-y, nutty wonerfulness that is this tea. I really enjoyed sitting down with my tea pot and cup and saucer. It was relaxing and delicious.

I picked this tea up last weekend while in Cape May, NJ. While exploring the town I discovered Tea By The Sea, an adorable tea shop full of teas from The Metropolitan Tea Company as well as a few other companies. I was really really good and only bought a few teas, but I enjoyed my time in Cape May so much I’m sure I’ll go back, and when I do I’ll stop by this shop and buy more tea. Also, if you ever have the chance to go to Cape May, go! It’s one of the prettiest sea side towns I’ve ever seen, and the people there are very friendly.

On to the tea! This is a nice fruity (not candy) plum tea. The base tea has an earthy flavor but isn’t heavy. I thought I picked up a light mossy note a time or two, but it was hit or miss. The plum note is delicate and slightly sweet with a floral finish. It works well with the base tea, and I really like that the plum flavor is fruity rather than overly sweet or artificial tasting. I did try one cup with sugar, and while it really brought out the plum flavor the floral note was lost. I definitely preferred this plain.

I only bought an ounce of this, so I’ll probably blow through it pretty fast, but I’ll enjoy it!

I’m home for a few days, and it seems like I brought cooler weather with me. I’ve been sipping on this while prepping dinner as a way of keeping myself warm. The passion fruit and raspberry flavors in this are very nice. It’s sweet and fruity without being candy-like. I’m nearing the bottom of my bag, so I’ll be adding this to my shopping cart the next time I’m at Target. This will be in my iced tea rotation this summer without question.

This is so tasty. I really like it hot (which is how I’m currently drinking it), but I think my favorite way to have this is iced. When this tea is cold all of the fruit flavors really pop, and the bergamot has a slightly stronger note. Since I’m an Earl Grey fan this is a win in my book.

Some mornings I spend far too long looking over my tea stash and deciding what to put in my cup. Other mornings I know exactly what I want, and the only thing between me and happiness is a boiling kettle. This was one of those ‘other’ mornings. I wanted the Queen Catherine now. It’s such a tried and true favorite with its lovely malt, cocoa and hay notes. Plus I get that wonderful smokiness right at the end of the sip. Love, love, love.

Tea of the morning. I have really been enjoying this tea lately. In fact, I’ve been enjoying it so much that my bag is almost empty. There are notes of chocolate, stone fruit, bread, caramel, and honey. There’s a light floral note as well that becomes more apparent as the tea cools. Really, really nice for a Saturday when it’s after noon and I’m still in my pj’s. :)

This tea was a HUGE hit at the tea party I hosted on Saturday. Several of the older ladies commented on it, as did one of the five year old girls. She called it, “the bestest”. A few minutes ago one of my closest friends texted asking for the name of the company that sells this, so I’d definitely serve this at future parties.

After my friend’s text I decided to make a cup of this for myself. It really is a nice twist on Earl Grey. I still think it has a lemon pudding flavor to it, but the bergamot is still there. Yum.

Since I still have over 200g of this I think I’ll tell my friend she can have half the bag. Even though I love it, and I’ll definitely drink it, there’s no way I’m going to get through all of this tea before it starts to lose its lovely flavor.
