1083 Tasting Notes
Tea of the morning. I spent yesterday afternoon priming my dining room for painting, and the fumes wreaked havoc on my poor throat. I thought a nice mint tea might help, and it does. I like the slight smokiness paired with the mint in this blend. It works and works well.
Tea of the morning. The kids had a two hour delayed start for school because everything was a slick sheet of ice this morning. That meant I had time to actually sit down with my tea and really enjoy it. That’s not something that normally happens on a Monday morning!
Tea of the morning. I actually also drank this tea yesterday while I hosted a tea party for twenty-five ladies. It was a lot of fun, and everyone really enjoyed learning about new teas. There’s already talk of having a garden party this summer which I think would be lovely.
Back to the tea, this is such a staple in my life now. It has delicious notes of chocolate, fruit, and bread. It’s sturdy enough for me to reach for it in the morning, but it’s lovely enough to make me stop what I’m doing and enjoy a quite moment with a really nice tea.
Yep, I’m a fan.
Preparation
I don’t know what it is about this tea, but I am loving it right now. It has a nice passion fruit flavor and a fair amount of red berry flavor as well. Raspberry seems to be the berry note I pick out most often, but there’s a nice strawberry note, too. The base tea isn’t my favorite as it’s slightly on the astringent side, but other than that it’s really nice.
Maybe it’s because this tea is so summery, or maybe it’s because it’s some tasty stuff, but I’ve been drinking this pretty much everyday this month. This is easily my February favorite.
This was my morning cup. A nice basic vanilla black tea. Nothing mind blowing, but a nice tasty cuppa. I think my daughter likes this one more than I do, so I’ll probably save the last few cups for her. That said, I will continue my hunt for my perfect vanilla tea.
I finished this off yesterday… maybe the day before… at any rate, it was really nice. There was a nice balance between the pear and the cinnamon, and the base tea had a nice malty note that blended in as well.
This is definitely high on my list of 52 Tea favorites!
Preparation
This was my morning tea. I wanted something minty, and I really like the smoothness of the mint in this blend. I still have a fair amount of this left, so I’ll probably focus on drinking it down over the next few weeks. I know once spring arrives I won’t want to drink my winter/holiday teas, and I don’t want them to just sit for months and months. It’s a tough job… ;-)
I had this tea earlier this evening, and it was every kind of yummy. As always, I added sugar and milk, and, as always, it tasted like a delicious almond cookie.
This is so good I think I’m going to buy a bunch of it the next time I’m at the store just to have on hand. I’m afraid they’ll take it off the shelf soon since it’s part of the winter tea line. I’m not ready to run out of this tea/dessert-in-a-cup yet!
Preparation
My last Nannnuoshan for today. I’ll save the oolongs for tomorrow. ;-)
Oh my goodness, I love this one. It’s smooth and buttery with a light sweetness and a delicate sugar snap pea flavor. I felt like I was drinking something decadent as I sipped, and I can honestly say I’ve never thought that about a green tea before. This tea definitely took me to my happy place. The quality of the tea is excellent, and it resteeps very well (a big bonus in my book).
Another one for my wishlist. Thank you, Nannuoshan for the chance to sample such a nice tea!
