So, I ordered this one online. It sounded really good.
I get it and open it up… and unfortunately the smell of this one was overwhelming, but not in a good way. From a distance it smells it good tho. It’s just up close where it smells funny to me.
Taste… I couldn’t do it. The funny smell that I had smelling it up close transfered to the taste. It smells too artificial or something, so that’s the taste that I had. I took like three sips and had to toss it. It tastes too funny to me. I didn’t get any cherry taste at all.
I really wanted to like this one, but I can’t do it. :(

I almost ordered this one but decided to wait to sample it before… glad I did! Ordered root-beer though, got it today. Smells fantastic, hope the taste won’t be a disappointment!

I got some root beer float too. I’m hoping it’s good, but I’m kinda nervous to try it after my dislike of this one… If you try it before me, let me know what ya think of it.

The smell was striking me as odd too, and couldn’t place it.
It hit me this morning – Pine Sol! To me it has a pine odour.

drank Salted Caramel by DAVIDsTEA

This tea is very similar to another tea I have in my cupboard.
I don’t really notice the salt in it, but it is a nice caramel black tea.
I really like it. :)

I think that I oversteeped this one or something… I found it to be bitter. I set up my tea timer and everything, but maybe something was still off… I steeped for 3:30, but maybe I should only do 3 mins.
Smell was very grassy…
Taste was bitter. It overwhelmed to the point where I couldn’t really notice the other flavours at all. I’m going to try it again… but I wasn’t happy so far… :(
I’ll try again soon.

drank English Caramel by The Tea Haus

I had a sad moment this morning when I went to make this tea… I brewed it as usual, but when I poured my milk into it, it curdled. I knew the milk had to be getting close to done, but I didn’t realize it was bad… It made me so sad… I had to dump the tea, and resteep.
The good news in all this, I resteeped this tea a second time, and I let it sit for a bit, and it was awesome. It was just as good as a first steeping would have been. I like my black teas pretty strong and this held up really well. I was very happy. I’m loving this tea!

drank Caramellissimo by Teaopia

Okay, so this tea I’ve had a love/hate relationship with. I loved it the first time I made it, but since that time, I haven’t liked it at all! I’ve tried and tried, but it just tastes wrong to me now. I wonder if the leaves have gone stale or something. It’s bitter and not smooth and I don’t really taste the caramel flavour at all anymore.
Poor caramel tea… I loved you, but not anymore…

This is the first tea master/steeper I bought. I found it at a small store here in town and had to try it out ‘cause a friend of mine told me about it, and I was so interested to try it out.
This thing is amazing! I don’t know how I lived my tea life without it. This lets the tea leaves fully expand so you get the full flavour of the tea. Also, it’s beautiful to watch the tea steep. I love it. I have a total of three steepers and I love them. I will always have them in my house.

Dry: Smells really good. I like it.
Taste: Milk and sugar added as usual. I wish I had tried it beforehand though. I think I might have over done it with the milk and sugar.
I’m gonna try it again without all the added stuff.

I will admit though too. I’m starting to realize that I don’t care all that much for fruit-flavoured black teas. I’ve got another strawberry flavoured black tea, and although it is good, I don’t really go for it that often. I’m drawn to the caramel, chocolate, nutty, etc type of black teas.

I’ll rate this one another time.

drank Mango Diablo by DAVIDsTEA

Now that is a spicy meat-a-ball, er, I mean tea.
Dry, the mango smells so good. I couldn’t wait to jump in.
Steeped: I found the mango to be very weak, but I need to mention that I didn’t use as much leaves as they suggest. I very rarely do. I always find using the amount they say makes it too strong for me. This time I wonder if I should have done the amount that they suggested. At the same time, the kick of the chilis is unreal. It is definitely a spicy tea, which I’m not use to at all.
I do like this tea. It’s quite nice. It would have to be one of those ones that I reach for when I need something different and something to give me a kick.

I think this would be a sipping tea for me. I usually tend to drink my teas quite quickly, but this one is definitely something to sip on. I think I should only make 8oz of this at a time… not the usual 16oz.

drank Pumpkin Spice by Tim Hortons
562 tasting notes

I use to refuse anything pumpkin. I wouldn’t have pumpkin pie, cookies, desserts of any kind really… So, when a (now former) coworker that I couldn’t stand told me that if I love tea, I had to try this, I didn’t want to and didn’t want to believe that she knew anything about me whatsoever. Somehow she convinced me to try this one. I didn’t want to, but I did. She got me this tea, double double with cream. I never drink tea with cream. EVER.
But this tea was amazing. She finally got something right.
Since that time, I’ve been on a pumpkin tea kick that hasn’t really stopped. And for that, I’m happy ‘cause it’s delicious. I’m still not a fan of pumpkin desserts, but the tea I’ll drink religiously.

drank Orange Pekoe by Tim Hortons
562 tasting notes

I get this one when I need a quick pick-me-up and I don’t have time to make my own. I also get it when travelling. It’s a simple tea, but delicious.
I always get it two milk, one sugar, bag in. One milk never seems to be enough when I leave the bag in. It gets strong quick. And I don’t know about others here, but all the Tims around my area always seem to do really big amounts of sugar. One is sometimes too much. Meh, It’s still good. I still enjoy it.

I’m a 30-something-year-old aspiring writer. I’ve written several short stories that I’m looking to get published someday soon.

I work as a paginator (I do page layout for our local weekly newspaper) and absolutely love it! I’m also an amateur photographer.
I’m the proud mommy of two sweet little boys! One born Feb. 3/15. He showed up 4.5 weeks early, but thankfully after a week in the hospital he’s great now. :)
The second one came just Monday evening at only 2 weeks early so he’s healthy and perfect!
Life just got so much more busy and crazy but I’m so excited.
I’m married to an absolute amazing man who “puts up” with my tea obsession.

It wasn’t until a few years after high school that I finally became interested in tea. I started with Orange Pekoe double double (milk not cream), and peppermint. Since that time, I’ve really opened up to other kinds of tea and I’ve well… I’ve kind of just went nuts since then.

I don’t drink much bagged tea anymore. It’s mostly loose leaf in my cupboard. The only except are a couple that were given to me and they sound too good!

I would have to say my favourite kinds are (in no particular order): black, herbal, white and rooibos (definitely prefer the green to red, but will drink the red too).

Green teas, pu’erh, and matcha are starting to grow on me but I’m very picky about them still. I am finding I like pu’erh tea cakes much better than loose. And with matcha I much prefer flavoured ones over straight.

I still don’t really care for mate teas but there a couple that are the exception to that.

I drink tea every single day. I absolutely love it. I can’t image my life without it.

I don’t log every time I drink a tea as I don’t want to spam everyone with tons of duplicate loggings, but I will log when I have a new tea, which happens on a regular basis and when I do a SIPDOWN! :D
