562 Tasting Notes
My mom-in-law got this one as it’s one of the ones on clearance from Teaopia. I got to try some ‘cause I’m visiting :)
This tea is so sweet and delicious. I’m really enjoying it! The green rooibos base is perfect for this light, fruity blend. I think the pairing is very good.
Yummy yum!
Preparation
I’m visiting my in-laws (I’ve got the greatest in-laws ever!) and my mother-in-law is in love with this tea, so I thought I’d give it a try.
The colour steeped is so beautiful. It’s a deep pink colour that actually reminds me of the Kanpe tea colour when steeped. Taste was tart but also a lovely fruity taste. I really enjoyed this tea. I’d probably have it again.
My mum-in-law has hugely stocked up on this one. I’m glad she loves it so much!
Dear Three Lemon Green,
Every since I found out that I’m allergic to grass, I’ve been quite nervous to have you again… you and your lemony goodness. I’ve been worried about how I would feel after I had you. But tonight I’m trying you again and I’m hoping that you treat me well. I’m really hoping ‘cause you taste amazing. The perfect lemony taste with the perfect green rooibos base.
Anyway, if you and I get along for the rest of the night, then I think I’m going to make a nice big pitcher of you iced.
Signed,
A huge fan
Preparation
This is a sample I got… probably almost a year ago, but have yet to try. I got it with one of my online orders I believe.
The smell of this one is quite strong of cinnamon and cardamon.
Taste-wise I found this one to be kinda weak also. I expected a punch of flavours, but they weren’t as strong as I expected. But it does a nice chai taste despite it. The cinnamon and cardamon are probably the strongest tastes within this tea.
Preparation
This summer has been one for heat! We have had at least two heat waves, and I was starting to think that maybe there wasn’t an end in sight! But this morning I was struggling to wake up (which I do on a good day hahaha), and I realized it’s because it’s dark and rainy out! The heat has broken for at least today and been replaced with crazy amounts of rain! Maybe now my flowers will come back to life in the garden!
So I thought, what better day than today, to enjoy a favourite such as pumpkin chai! It is such a warm comforting tea to me.
This tea screams fall. It’s the perfect cup of tea to snuggle up with on a gloomy-looking day such as today. And although I have to work this morning, I brought some with me and I’m really enjoying the soothing comfort of this tea. It is delightful!
Preparation
I’ve been stressing out a lot lately about some stuff at work. Today came a big answer as to what was going to happen and I’m very relieved.
I didn’t know what that answer would be until I got here today, but I thought I’d bring in a tea from home to enjoy as it would help the day go smoother until I heard the news. I chose my newest tea to the collection, Bamboozled!
Last summer I was given a whole bunch of Blazing Strawberries from a friend of mine and I loved it. The first two times or so times I had it, I didn’t really know what to think of it, but now I absolutely LOVE it. I think this tea will be the same.
I got only 50g of this last night as I was trying to be good. It has large pieces of fruit all through it with the bamboo leaves.
It is a nice fruity refreshing tea. I’m definitely enjoying it. I’d probably buy this one again as it is so fruity and nice.
The bamboo is a strange base, but I definitely like it as a change.
My wonderful husband took me to our closest DavidsTea tonight for a treat (it’s an hr away). I asked him last week if I could finally treat myself to a glass teapot, as I’ve always LOVED the look of them, but have never ever owned one. I was always hesitate to buying one only ‘cause realistically I don’t need one, but I’ve always hoped to have one.
SO, we get there and the plan was to buy the teapot, buy some bamboozled, and then leave……. probably a good 30mins later, we finally left… maybe it was longer… I can’t remember. Either way, I was in heaven. I got to smell a bunch that I hadn’t yet and I decided after smelling this particular taste of heaven that I would try it as a to-go tea.
I was debating about purchasing some, but I’m so leery towards white teas ‘cause the flavour isn’t as strong and I’m so worried about burning the leaves.
So, I had this one to go.
I must say, this one is quite good! It is a more subtle flavour than most of the teas that I enjoy on a day to day basis (I’m a black tea drinker through and through, although I will also enjoy herbals and rooibos teas). The apple flavour was delicious. Not overpowering, but not under-whelming either. I picked up on an almost cinnamon flavour too.
I really enjoyed this tea. I don’t think I’d be daring enough to purchase some, as again, I’m not much of white tea drinker, but I did enjoy it. I could see this one also working quite well as an iced tea. I’d definitely give that a try too.
Tomorrow, I shall try out my new teapot. What I’m going to brew up, I don’t know, but I can’t wait to give it a try!
Delicious!
This tea I got as an exchange for something I didn’t care for at all.
It was a surprise to me, that’s for sure. Everyone was saying it tasted like a pina colada, but I didn’t know if I believed them, but now I do. This tea is a nice fruity, sweet tea that is just amazing. It smells exactly like what I’d expect summer to taste like.
I enjoyed a cup of this last night while rewriting a short story I’ve been writing and although the tea and the story didn’t match, the tea was delightful. I can see this being a good one to chill and enjoy in the backyard with a good book.
Preparation
I had this one yesterday afternoon but forgot to log it!
The smell of this one is unbelieveably like root beer. I love the actually root beer beverage so I had to try it, and the smell for sure lives up to the name.
I only made an 8oz glass, which for me is small. I always do 16ozs or more… but I wanted to ease myself into this tea.
My timer was acting up on me, so I think I may have steeped it a bit longer than I should have…
Once I tried it, I have to agree with another reviewer here. It was a weak taste when hot, but as it cooled, you could really get the flavours coming out of it. It is definitely a root beer flavoured tea. It was so yummy, but sweet! I made the mistake of adding the tinyest amount of sugar to it and I realize now I shouldn’t have. It was far too sweet. I think if I had skipped that I would have been fine.
I did add some milk to it too to try and bring out the creaminess. It did help, but even still, I think it would have been just fine without the milk.
I think I’d like to try this one chilled as it’ll probably make it taste more like what I expect when I hear root beer (A cold sweet beverage).
Also, I think this tea will be one of those ones that I save for when I want a sweet treat and something completely different.
Preparation
I have been hesitate to try this one at all… I don’t like Oolongs. I have tried a few too, but most of the time I don’t like them. I think I had one oolong that I actually drank and that was a peach one from Teaopia. I didn’t even realize it was an oolong at that time.
Anyway, I got this one from a friend for Christmas and I’ve been putting off trying it ‘cause of it being an oolong. (Sorry friend!) I’m now wishing I had tried it sooner!
It was definitely a surprise to me. I agree with other reviews on here. The toasted and nutty part of the tea doesn’t come through at all. I notice the cinnamon for sure. And I notice the fruit. This tea should almost be called apple cinnamon fruit tea, or something like that.
It does taste about how it smells too. It smells more fruity and cinnamon-y then nutty or toasted. And too, the nutmeg is definitely another flavour that comes through too.
I do like this tea a lot. I’m going to really enjoy it!
