768 Tasting Notes
I’d been wanting to try this tea for a while, so thanks to tea-sipper for sharing! It definitely has that bit of a tang that you find in eggnog. The spices are mild, and it’s randomly rather sweet and almost fruity? It tastes better with milk, and I find myself wanting to add extra spices. Cinnamon/nutmeg… I just want some more spices. When I brewed up the last of the bag, there were a lot more spices in that cup. I guess the spices were lurking at the bottom! That cup was pretty delicious. This blend also makes quite the tasty second brew. I actually think I would purchase more of this if it comes back next Christmas.
This was a free sample in my last order. Hot it tastes a little…mustardy? Once it cools, you definitely get the orange with the mild warming spice. It’s a pretty gentle, pleasant tea. I’m not sure I prefer this to grocery store versions of this tea, but it’s definitely not a bad time.
Small sample saved from the tea box. I sat down to answer some emails as it was steeping and totally oversteeped it. Man, I really abuse my teas. It tastes pretty green with a bit of bitterness that is likely my fault, but not too much bitterness, thankfully. I definitely don’t like it as much as I’ve enjoyed some of Teakruthi’s other teas. It’s just not as fresh and clear as it could be.
With a name like this, I had to order some. It’s like many other peachy teas. It smells very strongly of peach rings. The flavor is like peach candy, not ripe peaches. It’s pleasant warm or cold, though I feel like when it’s cold I can sense a little bit of dessert/parfait flavor creeping in there with the peaches. It’s not my favorite peach tea, but perfectly sweet and nice.
Grabbed a bag of this from the recent tea box. Even though it expired in 2017, it still tastes pretty nice! Earthy and fresh. Not one I would buy a box of, but the flavor was quite refreshing to drink while I was exercising today. General earthy rootiness, not bad. Not a hint of lemon though.
I believe this might finally be the last sample I saved from the previous tea box. The flavor reminds me of the orange black tea I used to drink when I was a kid. I definitely overleafed this brew since I wanted to use up all the leaf I had saved, which somewhat detracts from the flavor. I don’t sense any spices, but also this tea tastes somewhat old, so maybe the spices were there originally. The black tea is a little brisk. So yeah, I’d prefer other versions of this tea over this version.
This brews up bright red. The flavor is somewhat tart. It tastes like ripe peaches more than anything else. When given a short steep and sweetened enough, it tastes pretty decent, but not spectacular. I wish it weren’t quite so tart. I do find myself liking it enough to hang on to. I find the peachiness enjoyable.
I pulled the tiny sample of this from the tea box to try. I’m not sure what its ingredients are. It tastes generically herbaceous. Definitely more of a savory tea, but nothing too exciting. It looks like this tea company no longer exists, so I’m drinking tea from beyond the grave. It’s always sad to find that a company has already disappeared before you even become aware of it.
I never got to try Butiki, and based on all the reviews I still see coming in for their teas, I definitely missed out! Oh well, at least there’s lots of other tea out there!
I’m glad this blend found the right home to land at!
Me too – thank you!
