768 Tasting Notes
This is so delicious. I totally get both peach and creme brulee from this. The flavoring is done so well. The black tea tastes a little old, but I got it from a tea box, so that may be the case. So yeah, I absolutely love the flavoring here, but the base isn’t great.
I really didn’t know what to expect from this one. At first, I found it to be a little sour and strange. I added some milk and extra sugar, and actually, I kind of like it in its eccentricity. I totally get both the chocolate and the fruitiness, and the combo works. It’s like having a bar of dark chocolate with dried fruit bits in it.
This one is tart and warmly spiced. Maybe there’s a coolness in the aftertaste that contributes to the mistletoe feeling? I’m enjoying it more than I thought I would. I prefer this one cold. The 20g didn’t make many servings, but this is one I’d consider ordering again.
I can’t really tell the difference between the glitter in this chai and when there are random little particles floating around in my cup. Nice idea though. This one didn’t need milk. The black tea was very light. The spices were decent, if a little generic and sweet. I know I’ve had plenty of other chais similar to this. It’s not spicy. The resteep tasted the same as the first. Quite similar to other DT chais. The strongest flavor is cinnamon.
This was one of the flavors from the advent calendar that I was the most excited for. I’m not sure it totally accomplished its goal though. It’s sort of like a very mild earl grey creme. But I’m not sure I’d even know it’s early grey if I hadn’t been told. I definitely can taste the extra desserty flavor that’s in there, but it’s more like a macaron than a cupcake. And flavors are often milder in macarons anyway. So if I think of this as being an earl grey macaron, I’d say it does a pretty good job. I’m drinking it with milk, which definitely helps bring out those flavors.
This definitely has some similarities to their key lime pie flavor which is one of those rare lime teas that I enjoyed. I think this tastes…pretty good? I mean it’s blueberry plus key lime, executed well. In some sips I don’t absolutely love what I’m tasting, but that might be personal preference as I would have preferred it to be mostly blueberry with a hint of key lime, whereas this mix is more like 70% lime, 30% blueberry. I wouldn’t buy this again, but it’s nice to have a variety of fruit blends around.
I’m so glad I ordered from Pudtea when I did because it looks like their website is totally gone now. This tea wasn’t great at room temperature, but it was pretty nice cold. Tart berry flavor and a little bit of a desserty something extra. I was surprised by how tasty it was, while also being not drastically different from other tart fruit teas. I guess this one gets the balance just right. Wouldn’t say that anything about it screams pudding though. Really just a fruit tea.
Thanks to tea-sipper for this one! I’m not often into DT chai, and unfortunately, this one is pretty similar to many others. It’s pretty thin and a bit artificial. The spices aren’t very well-rounded. I didn’t add milk because I was afraid it would drown out the flavors. There was also some bitterness. Next time maybe I should use some milk after all in order to bring out the white chocolate aspect.
The scent of this one reminds me exactly of a Teavana blend I used to love. Thanks for the share, tea-sipper! The flavor is the same as I remember too. It’s a distinct whole that I’m not sure how to describe. Warm, fruity spices, not the sort of thing you’d put milk in. My tastes in tea have changed, so I’m not as in love with this flavor combination as I used to be, but I’m a fan for nostalgia’s sake.
Hmm this reminds me of a cherry tea from Adagio that I didn’t enjoy. There’s just something about cherry flavoring that for some reason tastes chalky, artificial, and weird to me. I don’t taste any almond sadly. I enjoyed this tea a bit more in subsequent cups, though it was always too tart, and the only flavor I ever got from it was cherry.
