451 Tasting Notes
I love this tea. After so many “meh – it’s fine” teas, it was so nice to drink something that I thoroughly enjoyed. Too bad it’s discontinued.
This was very thick and sweet and a lot of the nut flavor came through for me. I was going to describe it as a cake or muffin, but I see “cookie” in the flavors list, which is also accurate. I don’t know. It’s just … Happy. Like comfort food dessert but in tea form. I want more of this…
But, if it does have Macadamia nuts, I might be in luck with the unopened Mulberry Magic in my cupboard. It feels good to be excited about tea again.

Sipdown! But since I forgot to add this to my cupboard, I haven’t actually decreased my numbers any.
I like this. It’s got a lot of cinnamon and undefined spiciness but its not overwhelming. I might be tempted by this again as it made a nice, forgiving work tea. Plus, it smells like a cinnamon cookie and who doesn’t love that?
Sipdown!
Happy new year, steepster!
Finished this one off on New Years Eve but was too lazy to write about it. I’m glad to see it go because its lost a lot of flavor. There’s the suggestion of catalope and a whisper of cream.I wish I’d gotten back to this sooner -it was excellent fresh.
Merry go, Steepster!
Sipdown #8!
I made this into latte concentrate and have been working through it all week. I love having an easy way to take what feels like a fancy drink with me to work every morning. Plus, if you make this one into a concentrate and let the flavors mesh, its much more “cranberry softened by pear” than “cranberry hay.”
I like this one. Not as much as my latte love Blueberry Jam, but this might be one to pick up again if I want a different flavor. Especially since there’s now a DavidsTea right by my husband’s workplace. Mwahahahaha!
Sipdown #7!
This was originally purchased for a friend but it never made its way to her. By the time I pulled it from the back of my tea cabinet, it was old and I couldn’t bring myself to send it off.
I needn’t have worried as this one tasted just fine – tart and incredibly floral if you let it oversteep. My friend – whose favorite tea is, incidentally, China Rose – probably would have loved this. Me, not so much. It’s not bad, good to drink mindlessly, but not my favorite. I feel like I’m drinking a lot of “not my favorite” lately. Hmm.
Merry Christmas Eve, steepster buddies!
I’m so glad my past self decided to gift all but two cups worth of this tea to work friends because I think lapsang souchoung is not my cup of tea (ha-ha). Dry this one smells like cinnamon and send like it’d be a very festive tea. Steeped it tastes like smoked meat. Not my thing and quite a disappointment. Oh well. Another sipdown.
