Probably my favorite out of my Short and Stout samples. The chocolate is there, sometimes candy bar delicious and other times just Tootsie Rolls. I feel like this one is perfect for milk and sugar, but I don’t have any milk at work and I should probably swear off sugar for the day in deference to all the Oreos I’ve had today.

(But seriously – Cinnamon Roll Oreos are irresistible especially when one of your coworkers brought them in as a morale boosting treat!)

It’s good, but probably not something I’d restock unless it was super convenient to do so.

Those Oreos sound great!

They’re SO GOOD. I highly recommend trying them if you can find them. I’m hoping to stock up this weekend if my grocery store has them.

Another sample slated for the work tea pile.

I don’t like this one. It’s drinkable and not bad overall, but I’m getting a lot of floral flavors with a hint of tartness that might be the pear. Not what I was expecting from a pear tea. Where’s the juicy, fruity goodness?

This isn’t something I’ll be replacing once my sample is gone.

Over the weekend I packed up twelve different teas to take to work with me. Most of these were samples I’ve neglected and would like to use up as my cupboard is starting to overwhelm me. This was one of the samples I packed up.

I massively overstepped this – ever thought you’d removed your infuser from the cup when you really forgot to? Yeah… The good news is that this one didn’t get bitter despite a ten minute steep time. The lime was very pleasant and biting, though, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Lime teas should have lime front and center, don’t you think?

I get baked apple notes from this. Mind you, its not a particularly strong baked apple taste, but it’s there nonetheless. I kind of like this one; I think it’d make a good work tea, it’s smooth and comforting which I need especially since things are picking up and taking my stress level with them!

This one sounded so good in the store, but it’s not so enticing in smell or taste. I added sugar last night to coax out some flavor, but all I got was closing sweetness and sharpness that I imagine is supposed to be rum. It’s better than the burned green tea flavor I was getting, but not by much.

A sample from the lovely Courtney.

I feel terrible that it took me this long to try this tea. I usually shy away from straight teas, preferring blends, but I really like this one. It reminds me of the tea they serve in Chinese restaurants but richer and completely lacking in astringency. Bonus, this was the perfect accompianment to some blueberry white chocolate oatmeal cookies (had after shoveling snow, so the calories don’t count, right?).

I really enjoyed this and may have to seek out some unflavored oolongs in the future. Thank you, Courtney!

I love this one.

With milk and sugar (because its hot chocolate after all!), this is perfect to curl up with while awaiting Snowpocalypse 2016.

Work tea.

This one was sweet though the chocolate was subtle. A roasty and earthy tea.

Pretty standard Earl Grey. Best with some sugra added as it’s very astringent otherwise.

Oh yum.

It’s been freezing here and I was in the mood for something hot – enter this tea. I made it with some milk and sugar and it was fantastic. I got lots of chocolate flavor. It was kind of thin because this is tea and not hot chocolate, but still very satisfying.

I became interested in tea spring 2013, when some friends of mine brought me to a local tea shop. I’ve been experimenting since, and am absolutely in love! I am especially fond of blended teas, and I’m a sucker for gimicky flavors.

My cupboard is stocked with a lot of DAVIDsTEA at the present, although I do have a few teas from some local shops. I’m looking forward to branching out and trying teas from different vendors and shops. Let the journey begin!
