338 Tasting Notes
Day #7 of the advent calendar! This is one of my favourite blends to make iced tea from, but I had never tried it hot until today – and it is still freaking delicious. Nice and tart, no need for a sweetener of any kind. I can see a cup of this as being a good go-to tea this winter!
Day #6 of the advent calendar. This one was a brand new taste experience for me, I’m pleased to say. I’m not really a fan of plain green teas, but I appreciated the flavour I got from this one. Very few leaves needed for a very bold, earthy taste. This isn’t a flavour I’d normally go for, and I’m not sure if it’s one I’ll go for again after my tin has finished, but I’m glad I got to try it.
Day #4 of the advent calendar! I was introduced to this one by a co-worker last year, and I loved it on the spot and it has been a staple in my tea shelf ever since. I steep this one for ages so the flavour is nice and strong, sans any sweetener. A classic that will always get 100% from me. <3
Day #2 of the 2013 advent calendar! I tried this when it was out last year, and I don’t know if the ingredients have changed any, but I like this far more than I remember. And again, I’m enjoying the fact that I have enough of the leaves to make at least two more big mugs. Bravo!
Day 1 of the 2013 DT advent calendar presented me with this! I do enjoy my minty teas, so I was looking forward to giving this one a try. Not as minty as I would like, but not bad for a chilly Sunday afternoon. What I also liked about this one was that there’s enough leaves in my little sample tin for about 3-4 fresh mugs of tea, let alone any re-steepings. Maybe this one will grow on me some more, haha.
Again, I was in the mood for a plain, straight black tea this morning. I hadn’t tried this one before, so problem solved. I added a bit of milk to this cup (as I generally do with straight teas), and it was just like I expected/needed. Nothing fancy, but comforting and delicious.
Not the best flavour of black tea I’ve ever tried, but I thought it was still drinkable! The smell of the steeped tea was amazing, I’ll give it that. I had to wait a while for this one to cool down before I sampled, and considering I was never really a fan of actual cherry cola, I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
