338 Tasting Notes
One of the first teas by DT I ever had! It’s been a while since I’ve had this one, but I do enjoy the fruit notes that this one has – I’m a sucker for anything that has peach as an ingredient. I remember the first and second steepings being so much better than a third, so I think just two goes it all that I can get out of this one.
I think I need to either use fewer leaves with one, or steep less because my first sample of this was oh my god potent. More rooibos than blueberry, and that is not a good thing in my book. Next time I make this I’ll rate it again and see if the flavour improves – I hope it does, because I was excited to see a blueberry flavour.
Again, another expensive blend that I won’t be getting a lot of. I’m kind of ‘meh’ on straight oolongs, but I’m realising that you get what you pay for and this one is delicious. Definitely a higher quality than what I’m used to – sadly my wallet cannot made the jump, LOL. I added a little bit of milk to this one on my first couple of steepings, but maybe next time I’ll just have it plain.
Very light, very sweet, very jasmine-y and very expensive, LOL. I only have this because I used some of my free tea allowance from the Frequent Steeper program because that is the only way I am ever going to be able to afford any substantial amount of this. This is one of the best jasmine greens I’ve ever had, but due to the price, it’s sadly one I cannot keep a large stash of.
I have to up my rating on this one, because I have come to absolutely love it over the past couple of months (I even bought a 250g bag before it became discontinued). I was hesitant on the grape flavour before, now I think it’s endearing – and this has become one of my favourite flavoured greens.
I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed this one until now… Definitely one of my favourite fall releases from this year. I love Pumpkin Chai, but wished I could drink it later at night – and voila, here comes a caffiene-free pumpkin blend! I don’t know if I really get any cheesecake flavour out of this, but it’s a nice addition to my rooibos collection (because I can’t taste the rooibos base, LOL).
I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed this tea yet, considering it is from the fall 2014 collection, but better late than never? This one definitely lives up to the ‘sweet’ part in the name, so avoid this one if you like your apple cider more tart and/or with some spice. I usually combine this one with Yes We Cran to make an apple/cranberry blend, and I think I might try mixing this with Cinnamon Rooibos next. I’m still not sure if I like this one better on its own or as a mix.
