Has a beautiful orangey-gold color that looks really, really nice in Grandma’s rosebud teacups. Makes me feel quite elegant. It hasn’t lost its tang in the decaf process and steeps well more than once.

Very, VERY different—you definitely get the grain taste. Picked up some experimentally a couple summers ago and discovered I liked it iced better than hot. Supposed to have lots of health benefits, though I can’t remember any at the moment.

Grabbed it because I desperately needed decaf—just survived a ride to and from grandmother’s house with teenage driver at the wheel and my neck is in knots. Thinking I need something even de-caffer. Oh, well, it’s brewed already.

Something old, comfortable, and familiar to wake up to. Wouldn’t you know it, the one morning I could sleep in I ended up with a wicked case of insomnia…counting on good ol’ PG to fortify me for the day ahead. Happy Thanksgiving: may you run out of fingers and toes to count your blessings on.

Perfect Sunday afternoon tea; a bit of sweetness underneath; which also describes the movie I’m getting all misty over (Anna and the King).

Still working on my little 2 oz packet; I don’t not like it, but in retrospect, for what I paid for it, I had hoped it would make me go, “Oh, WOW!” instead of, “Oh….nice.”

Sigh. That’s such a bummer when it happens.

Blacks can be more finicky for me than I thought they would be. On some days? Mind quakingly good. On another day, the same tea might be disappointingly bleh. It leads me to believe that I either need to pay much closer attention to what I’m doing or that my palate is not ill-equipped on some occasions to calibrate itself into the “magic” place.

Here’s hoping you hit a sweet note on the tea before your sample runs out.

I think this has been discontinued and replaced by Pumpkin Spice … tin is running low, but this just seems like the week to finish it.

Running late this a.m. so I dumped this in water and frumped around the house trying to get ready … I am convinced that you can’t ruin this tea, period. Two minutes, five minutes, it’s all good … dump in a little half and half and it’ll cover any steeping error.

Phooey. Rationing because I’m down to the last few bags in the box, and oversteeped. Drinking it anyway on general principles. (Still smells nice.)

Somebody asked me once when I became a tea junkie; I think it dates back to college when I needed caffeine for a 7 a.m. class but chose not to do coffee. My favorite teapot is a medium-sized Brown Betty given to me by my Mema; the painted flowers are chipping off, but the size and feel is perfect. I rejoice when I get a morning to brew a pot of loose tea starting with a kettle; not a bag and a hot pot.
