I love fruity herbal teas and this one offers a good variety of taste. The raspberries and blackberries add delicious subtly and it is definitely not too minty.
I got this on a tea shopping trip to Toronto in September. It was nice to visit Tealish and talk to the staff.
Preparation
Have you ever really loved a tea and then just one day you could no longer even stand the smell? Well basically that is what happened to me with Forever Nuts and by extension, this tea as well. Courtney so graciously sent me a sample and since I was a huge fan of Forever Nuts, I knew I would love this too. Except one day I made myself a cup of Forever Nuts and could not even drink it. So I have been putting off trying this. However today when I smelled it, I was really intrigued and decided to brew myself a cup. Despite it being buttery and filled with wonderfully nutty flavors, I just could not drink it. I know it is a good cup of tea but it just is not for me. Thank you Courtney for sharing!
Preparation
In anticipation of my large Della Terra order as well as the tea package from my Dad containing all my other BF orders, I am trying to get a few sipdowns. I am slowly working my way through various swap packages and today I pulled out this tea from Courtney. With just two cups left of this and two cups of Bella Berry, I plan on finishing both off tonight.
Right now, this tea is actually quite tasty. I think this is the first time I am picking up a hint of rhubarb and I am quite enjoying it. Thank you Courtney for sharing this with me!! I have been very happy to try out various Tealish flavors :)
ETA: Sipdown!! (154)
Preparation
Courtney shared some of this tea with me and it definitely makes for a pleasant cup. I don’t think this is anything overly special so I don’t think it is something I would go out of my way to buy. There is not much tart flavor nor is there any vegetal taste from the green base. Nonetheless, it is sweet and mildly flavored and I will enjoy the rest of the sample while it lasts. Thank you Courtney!!
Preparation
Courtney was kind enough to share this with me a couple weeks back and I had not gotten around to it yet. However, today I woke up in the mood for greens and so this made it into the gravity steeper.
After the Bella Berry, I worried this would go the way of potpourri but I was pleasantly surprised. I only brewed it for about a minute and what I ended up with was a very delicate tea with a hint of strawberry. I am not picking up any rhubarb but I am enjoying this nonetheless.
Thank you Courtney for sharing this with me :)

Sipdown!! (162)
So I am a little sad because I just checked my email only to realize Stacy does not have enough left to send me the Carrot Cake tea I ordered on Black Friday. That was one of the ones I was dying to try so that was definitely sad to hear. Stacy is being very accommodating though so I can’t be too upset. Her customer service is really quite great :)
Anyways, on to the tea…
This came to me from Courtney and it is not bad but my roommate mentioned it tastes like potpurri and every time I have it, that is all I can think of. It is actually because of that, that my roommate no longer says what she thinks a tea tastes like unless I outright ask. Nonetheless, it is gone and though I am glad I tried it, I am not too sad to see it go. Thank you Courtney for helping me cross this one off my list.
Preparation
Courtney was kind enough to share this with me so thank you Courtney! Unfortunately, this just does not do it for me. My roommate took a sip first and mentioned it tastes like potpourri and once that was put into my head it could not be undone. I didn’t taste berry but rather found this to be more on the floral side (and I am not even sure if there is florals in it??). It was pleasant enough to try but I don’t think I will be buying any of this in the future.
Preparation
Hm. Forgotten I’d tried this one already – must be how memorable it was?
I’m getting the strong smell of both blueberries and strawberries again, and this concerns me. I did get a note back saying there are zero strawberries in this mix, and yet still…
This is a muted cup, likely due to my miniscule steep time. It’s creamy, it’s blueberry (more so after the sip, and lingering) and a slight touch from the pink peppercorns. Interestingly, I have few of the blue (what I assume are) cornflowers in my bag, while the picture shows them dazzlingly everywhere.
It’s light, it’s tasty, its… missing something still, although I think I do enjoy this shorter steep time.
Preparation
Almost every single tea with the word ‘love’ in it has strawberries, so when I saw that this one was free of them, I had to grab a small bag to see what I was missing. Or, I’m hoping there’s zero strawberry in here… Tealish’s ingredient lists are usually AWOL other than the describe flavorings.
Out of the bag, this smells like a juicy melange of fruit and green tea. Steeped it smells more like currants and spice. My first sips are tentative – are we sure there aren’t any strawberries in here? – and I’m having a hard time telling. There’s something making my lips and tongue tingle, however it could well be the red peppercorns I saw in the mix. It takes like currants with a bit of spice for the most part, with hints of roasty green tea in the background and the finish.
It’s nice and pleasant, and while I do enjoy it, I’m still focused on the possibility of strawberries in here. I’m off to go email Tealish and ask them.
Preparation
Thanks Courtney for the sample of this tea.
This is an ok fruity green. It’s not quite strong enough for my tastes, and I’m not sure sencha is my favorite green base.
This is slightly sweet (strawberry), slightly tart (rhubarb), a little bitter green.
Thank you for the opportunity to try this Courtney – nothing really wrong with it, but also nothing really special. Just ok for me.
My cat is interfering with my drinking tea tonight.
They were doing fire alarm testing in my building today, including entering all the units to test the smoke detectors. My cat hates loud noises and doesn’t do well with strangers – this was going to be a bad day for him. I gave keys to my neighbor, and went to work – need to work if kitty wants roof over his head and food in his dish. While I understand he isn’t going to like it, I can’t really do anything about it.
I come home and he rejects food, lectures me for about 20 minutes, then plops himself down on top of me and won’t move – decided he needed to get caught up on all the sleep he missed and he was doing it using me as his pillow. I of course feel sorry for the cute little thing, and allow the clingyness. A hockey game and 3 hours later – he gets moved, and I finally get up and make more tea.
I’m telling stories rather than talk about the tea – yeah I’m avoiding commenting on it. Courtney generously sent me a sample. Thank you.
I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but here goes……. this is flat, lacking in flavor – there is nothing offensive, it’s just boring. I prefer Davids version of this.
Thanks Courtney for the opportunity to try it.
Ah, this is on my list to try as well, I have about 20g somewhere. I had big hopes for it… Tealish really talks this one up.
Generally I’ve liked the few Tealish teas I’ve tried, but this was a miss for me. Maybe you’ll do better with it….
Aw sorry! I haven’t had the David’s version in so long and I don’t mind this one, but maybe side by side would be a different story.
I received this in my swap package from Courtney – thank you so much!!!
I’m currently drinking my third cup of this, and I’m still not sure what to say about it. Strange little tea. The description isn’t matching my experience and that’s confusing me.
Vanilla?? hmmm nope
Almond? no don’t get that either
Hibiscus? Yep there is some of that but just a touch it’s not too tart
Orange zest? ok, there is some citrus in the back but I think there are other fruity flavors that are more predominant
Cinnamon and Clove? really – I think there is some spice but that’s not the spices I would say.
Wow, just strange. I think this is a juicy, fruity, slightly tart with a hint of spice. If I hadn’t read the description, I would have thought berry, hibiscus, lemon, pepper……..
I guess the good news is I’m still drinking it, it’s so strange that I just keep going back for more. I like it.
Thanks Courtney.
Monster cup of this last night turned into lovely cold leftovers.
Preparation
Love when that happens! It means I was too tired to finish a good cup but it waited for me and was still yummy in the morning.. Maybe even better. Coffee isn’t patient like tea and gets ugly and bitter and gross.
Maybe a little biased, now that I’m a tea drinker.
I used to be a coffee drinker, still have the occasion cup of coffee usually w/ creamer, or a latte/cappucino. Hubby says I don’t really drink coffee because I almost always add something to it.. Lol.
If you want to drink coffee cold, you have to pamper it with ice and flavorings.. In my opinion anyway.
Gosh I love this tea. It soothes and pleases, and I always drink it way too fast after it’s cooled. I may need to see if a cold brew is in order at some point… I mean, I have more than enough of it to try. ;)
Preparation
MissB, would you say this resembles Della Terra Lemon Chiffon? I’m just curious cause that’s about the only rooibos I can tolerate!
They’re very similar teas, however this one is a green rooibos, which I find I enjoy more than most red rooibos. I can send you some if you’d like to try it out?
Aww, thank you missB, you are so kind! I will pass on the offer for now, trying so hard not to get anymore tea cause my cupboard is so out of control but will keep that in mind :-)
I understand the out-of-control cupboard all too well. I’m sure I’ll have lots for a while, so feel free to ask anytime.
I am constantly surprised at the creamy meringue and lemon loveliness in this tea. How many more awesomesauce ways can I describe it? :)
2.25 tsp in 20 oz.
Flavors: Cream, Lemon Zest
Preparation
Thankfully, this is one of the rooibos teas that still love me, and I them – likely because it’s mostly green? Dunno. This is just plain delicious. I love it so much, I bought an obscene amount last night… creamy, sweet deliciousness, and I noticed with the slightly lower steeping temperature that I could taste the meringue even more.
