So I stored what was left of this steep in the fridge before heading back to work. I enjoyed a much better cup of this the second time around. Letting it chill vs. pouring over a huge cup of ice is really the way to go with this tea when served iced. Very yummy even my husband was interested for a moment.

This (and a few other teas) arrived today while I was on my lunch. Mind you I ‘may’ have chased down the UPS truck in order to get my package….well worth it.

Ahem….citrus, citrus, and more citrus! That’s what I’m getting from this tea. I’m enjoying it iced today as it is just as hot as yesterday. The flavor is super refreshing and just a slight bit tart. But oh so good!

Enjoying this iced this morning as the weather dude says it’s going to be 90 today!! I of course have one of the few half dead a/c units. So I’m going to need this to make it to lunch time. At which time I can dash home and make some more!! It is going to be one of those weeks I can tell already (had off for Memorial Day yesterday – need more Monday’s like that).

Oh right the ‘note’…I can taste the sencha with just the hint of watermelon in the aftertaste. Very refreshing!

I got this as a sample with RoT’s latest catalog. I figured I’d try it before bed tonight. I’m smelling a LOT of cream and vanilla as this steeps. Added a little silk creamer to cool it down a little. It isn’t half bad. But I’m glad they gave me the sample. I don’t think it’s one I would buy on a regular basis. Mostly because I’m not tasting what I was smelling – I was really looking forward to that.

I clearly did not have the right mix of each tea this time around. I think I need to cut the cream tea down to one teaspoon. Oh well you learn, and live to blend again! But it wasn’t horrible, just not what I had hoped this tea would be.

I used 2 teaspoons of each tea, let steep 3 minutes and then served over ice with a little sweetener.

This is mighty yummy and refreshing on what is turning out to be a HOT day in Upstate, NY, thank you KeenTeaThyme for sharing! I’m loving the mint flavor with each and every sip. The hint of matcha is also hitting the spot too. I would def. pick up some of these asap and I might do just that right now!!

This smells like fall. The taste is interesting and difficult to describe as there is (for me) an odd mix of rooibos and chai. It is not good nor is it bad. I hope it is the get some zzz tea it says it is. Thank you KeenTeaThyme for the sample.

Sorry I’ve been away this week. Super stressful and I’m trying to get out of the funk said stress has put me in.

I am usually not a fan of Earl Grey anything. Granted I think I had one cup of the stuff in my life. That being said this isn’t bad. I did break my rule of not sweetening it and added two cubes to cut the bitter taste I first had. There is a very creamy aftertaste to the tea which I actually like. I think it could do with a bit more cream. But that’s me. I may have to visit the Whistling Kettle again to get a bigger supply!

There is a major blueberry aroma coming off this both prior to infusion and while infusing. Once this gets going there is almost a medicine smell to it and not a good kind (not that there really is a good kind – but the smell reminds me of taking gross cough syrup with a water chaser). However, the taste is all blueberry with just the slight hint of rooibus. I think it would be better served iced. But I like others like to try all my teas hot first. It could probably due with a hint of sweetener too. My husband thinks it smells great (loves the smell of tea but the taste he says tastes like tea nothing special).

My son says tea is water with an aftertaste. Pooh.

Yeah I was hoping to get my husband slightly into drinking tea…guess that isn’t going to happen.

Trying to get my husband into tea. So I figured I’d appeal to his nerdy side and love of Firefly by trying out this custom blend. I have to say I am liking it more this time around even more than the first time I tried it. Which might be due to two things…the perfect temp kettle and my tea tastes are expanding – so I am upping the rating. The tea really gives off a lot of the gunpoweder and the fruity flavors. There is a really great mix of both this time. Hopefully my husband likes it too!

Bio

I am a tea lover, a wife, mom of one, and servant to three cats (all rescues). I love to read and write. I’m also a BIG fan of the following shows: BBC Sherlock, Doctor Who, Law and Order, Supernatural, Bones, and more – bless Netflix.

I started drinking and enjoying tea when I was 7 (sure it was bagged Lipton, but it got me started) with my grandmother. As I said it was Lipton with milk and sugar (and peanut butter and jelly on toast) and my love just grew from there. I was brought to loose leaf through a trip to Teavana. But my taste has expanded to many different types of tea since then. I review teas at the link provided, check it out!
