421 Tasting Notes
Finally trying this one (ok tried this morning) and it is so good. Again I got a lot of comments on the smell of blueberries in my office. :) The yummy blueberry taste and kick of black tea was just what I was looking for to get me moving this morning! Best part is that the smell is still hanging around this afternoon even if the tea is long gone. Thank you RachanaC (A.K.A. Rachel) for rescuing this one!!
Preparation
So I finally figured out what this needed to reach a 100 rating….wine! I added a wine called Sweet Revenge from Catherine Valley Wineries. (Ok I added the whole bottle) The wine mixed with the Sangria tea blended perfectly together for a really delish and refreshing Spring/Summer cooler. Yum!
First off someone just asked where I got the Cinnamon Raisin Toast from….this is a good sign! I can smell the toastiness, and the cinnamon and it smells GOOD. The taste is pretty awesome too. I’m getting the butter flavor pretty heavy in this cup. But there are lighter notes of the cinnamon and raisins as well as the toastiness. All in all you bet I am glad I brought this one out of retirement. Again only rating as this is my first time trying it.
Preparation
So I figured I should try this seeing as I brought it out of retirement with Frank. I must admit it is pretty tasty! I had a sip while it was hot (before adding ice) and I loved it. After I had it on ice for a bit I tried it again and it is equally as good. I’m really happy with this choice. This is a really refreshing summer tea. I am going to rate as I haven’t tried it before this cup.
Preparation
I’m finally getting around to try one of my samples from Teabean. Every time I would go for it I recalled I had my one cup of coffee for the week. Yes this is also a tea, but I refused to lose a bet with my brother. Anyway…this is a really interesting blend of tea and coffee. In fact it might be the only way I ever drink coffee again.
I’m getting a hint of the chai flavoring. Really picking up the cloves, which I find a nice touch, but not overpowering. As others mentioned there is a lot going on in my cup here. All I can really say is I love it and may have to place an order! Hopefully this give me enough of a kick to get me through my last hours of Reunion related duties!
Preparation
This has been getting me through those really tough days at work. You know the ones where all you really want to do is be home… The mint is very refreshing and a bit calming too. Which is just what I’ll need this weekend. The college I work for is hosting Reunion this weekend. So there are a lot of wonderful women returning to campus BUT sometimes they have some interesting requests that cannot always be granted. So mint green take me away!
Preparation
I tried this when I was finally able to escape home for lunch. Yum! Really refreshing and a nice mini trip to an island far, far away from reality! Tart flavors and a rich ruby color and a whole lot of yummy goodness. I might even add a little wine to it when I go home tonight to give it that real sangria taste.
Thanks to ladykittykat for the sample (I forgot to log it in when I had it), said sample “forced” me to add some to my recent order from DAVIDsTEA….I can’t help it if the teas just “fall” into my cart and I “happen” to hit checkout. It also doesn’t hurt to have a husband who would rather see me drink tea instead of coffee.
This tea smells super chocolaty as it sits here steeping at work. I’ve already had some comments on the smell in a good way. But I refuse to share with the work people. Also smelling a hint of banana. The taste? The taste is OUT OF THIS WORLD. There is a serious taste explosion going on with each and every sip. Will have to get a larger package when I am out of this. KeenTeaThyme (KiTT) some of this is headed your way!
Preparation
This is one of the first ones I got from David’s. It is great but I have to be careful when I drink it due to the energy rush I get from it.
I love, love, love, love this one. Loooove. We picked up a 10g sample one day and turned around and bought a tin the very next day. I’m so glad you like it!
It should go out in the mail tomorrow. Saturday at the latest!! The last of what I wanted to add went into the box today.
After the mishap with the prep of the other tea I needed something to unwind with and get ready for bed. First off I noted this smelled very minty as it steeped. So I was wondering how this was going to calm me down and get into sleep mode. Usually minty type teas help me kick start in the morning. However, with each sip (yawn), I’m finding I’m getting a little more relaxed. I am really liking the taste of the lemongrass. It blends really well with the other ingredients and making me wish I was writing this review from the comforts of my bed.
Preparation
Brewed a bag of this tonight to chill for tomorrow. It smells really tart and after a sample sip (that came after mopping up my spills as I moved the tea from one container to another), I can say this is going to be yummy. No rating until I enjoy some tomorrow.
To prepare:
Heat water to a rolling boil
Add one brew bag to 1 quart heat safe container
Fill said container with boiling water
Steep 5-7 minutes
Let cool a bit before moving it to a heat safe container
Oh so happy this worked out. It really is delicious! :-)
Have you ever tried it iced?
