759 Tasting Notes
If you could get it anymore this would be highly recommended. Unfortunately Verdant stopped making blends. Their naked tea is still awesome but I miss the fun of discovering what blend they would come up with next. I forgot to time this… which is fine since I made it cold and I have never had it go funny on me. Such a good tea.
Flavors: Mint, Tulsi
Preparation
I need to buy more tulsi. I hunted everywhere for seeds to grow it this year and found none. I guess I should start looking early for next spring because I will surely have to mail order it.
I have never tried Tulsi outside of tea blends. One day I should try just so I know what the solitary taste is like. It would make it easier to pick out in tea.
Ashmanra, a friend gave me some seeds this year and we had fairly good luck with it. Just now getting enough to dry—haven’t steeped yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
I tried to update the Caramel Matcha from Red Leaf Tea to Matcha Outlet but it wouldn’t let me because this tea page exists… So for anyone that doesn’t know Redleaf Tea is now Matcha Outlet they made the change awhile ago. This is really awesome matcha. Nice sweet caramelly goodness.
Flavors: Caramel
Preparation
Having this after my cycle to work on Mom’s old bike. I guess I can call it mine now since I went over 10km on it. I’m using my Matcha Maker from DT to enjoy it and it’s pretty cool. This is very much like a really good mint hot chocolate. I made mine iced however. Still very yummy.
Flavors: Chocolate, Mint
Preparation
Only if you like the candy fuzzy peaches. I have a 35g of this and Just Beet It. I have given up on Just Beet It, I just can’t seem to like it. This one dry smells like fuzzy peaches. Steeped in cold water this tastes like the fuzzy peaches sour gummies. Not really what I was looking for but at not horrible enough that I feel the need to spit it out and toss the rest.
Flavors: Peach, Sour
Preparation
Yeah, I get the same thing from it. Even though I actually like those candies, I don’t like the idea of a tea tasting like it.
This one is almost gone. I’m not sure how I feel about that yet. I think I can part with it without feeling too sad though. It’s yummy good raspberry syrup kind of way but I think as fall approaches I want more cinnamon and such. Things that scream “Winter is coming”
Flavors: Raspberry
Preparation
So my Mom got a new bike that has assist on it because her knee isn’t working properly. That means that I get her old bike which is fully recumbent unlike my old one which was only semi-recumbent. So I had to learn how to ride hers, it’s like being a kid and starting from scratch. Tonight though I managed to cycle without falling over or needing help, I was sooo proud of myself. Unfortunately that didn’t leave me time to make a real tea so I grabbed this. “I can ride my new bike tomorrow to work, YAAAY!!”
Preparation
Right on! I have never ridden one of those before but I can imagine how different it must be compared to, say, a mountain bike (which is what I grew up riding).
Oooo, exciting! I think they look so cool. I hadn’t considered that there would be a learning curve to ride them!
mmmm…pumpkin cider. I have never had pumpkin cider but imagine this is what that would taste like. Of course now I shall have to try actual pumpkin cider… if I can ever find any around here. I hope my relief isn’t sick this morning as well. I was tripping over my feet on the walk to the bus stop yesterday morning. Otherwise I would have walked the whole way home. I felt so lazy for taking the bus when home is like 6km away. However I was just that bone tired.
Flavors: Pumpkin, Spices
