This is definitely unpleasantly chemically when warm, but when it cools, it’s decent. Desserty rooibos flavor with a really nice vanilla. Quite sweet and light, but with some depth to the flavor.

I totally get the gingerbread flavor here. The flavor is both of ginger and also of baked goods. Sweet and tasty with a little bit of heat. I used two bags for a large mug. I wish Teapigs did more flavors like this!

The flavor here is pretty mild. It’s definitely lightly orange and maybe a touch of spice. The resteep was pretty tasty as well. A light, gentle tea. I would have preferred bolder flavors, but this was nice. The sample didn’t have as much tea in it as other samples, so perhaps this was a little underleafed.

Thanks to tea-sipper for letting me try this one! This tea totally reminds me of Teavana’s lavender creme flavor! Very sweet and desserty. You get a nice lavender flavor supported by the other ingredients. B&B’s rooibos is great, as always. I’m almost regretting not grabbing some of this during the sale.

Yeah, B&B better still have this around when I want to stock up again. :D

This tea came as a free sample in two different Plum Deluxe orders, so I steeped them both up today. The flavor is pretty nice. Light spices on a mild black tea. A little bit sweet and desserty. Not too appley, which I was fine with since I don’t love apple spice teas. I enjoyed this one much more than anticipated! Its rebrew randomly tasted like snickerdoodles! I’m not sure why I ended up with stronger spices in the resteep!

This is a 52teas genmaicha, so of course it’s good! There were very few banana pieces in my whole bag, but I made sure to include some in my mug. Unfortunately, I taste nothing except regular genmaicha. What might work is to remove the genmaicha after the proper steep time, but then keep the banana pieces in for 20+ minutes. I like to give my herbal banana teas an extra long steep. Well anyway it’s a pleasant, toasty tea, but not banana at all.

This tea is unbelievably good. The coconut and lavender are both so bright and refreshing. I had this cold, and I savored each sip. If it weren’t so expensive, I would make pitchers and pitchers of it. It’s just so well-balanced and delicious. Its second steep is just as delicious as its first. The third cold steep gets a little tangy, but still tasty enough to drink. Definitely a favorite. Not chai at all though. Just coconut and lavender.

Coconut and lavender is one of my favorite flavor combos… I love B&B’s “Lazy Boy” as well! I also really like making lattes with just plain ol’ lavender buds, mixed with warm coconut milk… mmm!

Similar to other ETS herbal teas. So muddled and artificial. This one really isn’t good at all though. Not too sour, just really lame.

I don’t like the candy that this tea is named for, so I’m not sure what my reasoning was for buying it. The flavor is pretty similar to other B&B blends that contain chocolate. With sugar and milk, it’s pleasant. I don’t taste any nuttiness, but the cocoa shells are nice. It’s a mild, tasty blend. Nothing about it really stands out from other blends though, and as I mentioned, it’s quite light. Maybe overleafing this would make it more interesting. I made my resteep in a much smaller mug, and that actually tasted better than the first steep – like a dark chocolate hot chocolate. Yeah, I’ll definitely be overleafing in the future. I wish I tasted some nuttiness!

drank Elderflower Oolong by DAVIDsTEA

I picked this tea because the flavor sounded different and interesting. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it very much. It’s too sour and also very floral. I feel like the floral flavor could have been better with a different base. Maybe with a black tea or maybe with a mostly strawberry herbal base. Unfortunately, I feel that this one needs a few tweaks to be good. As I drank it, I did start to get used to and sort of enjoy it, but it’s definitely not one I would reach for often. I’ve tried it brewed regularly and also cold brewed. The latter might result in a slightly less sour brew, but I’m not sure.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by “maybe with strawberries”? Like, more strawberries? This definitely wasn’t my favourite either – but funnily for the opposite reason; I thought it was too much strawberry/lemon and not enough actual elderflower XD

AJRimmer

Oh I guess I could edit to make it more clear. I meant as an herbal blend focusing on the strawberry and elderflower, but removing whatever is making it so sour. Whoops!

Roswell Strange

Makes sense! :)

Steepster is glitching for me, so I can only access it using my laptop, which I don’t use very often, so I unfortunately will not be as active on here as I prefer to be.

I’m an event planner who always has two mugs of tea beside me. Hobbies other than tea include board games, video games, cooking international dishes, science fiction, hiking, jigsaw puzzles, tap dancing, reading, and listening to podcasts.

Favorite flavors: Almond, strawberry, nutty, dessert flavors, melon, mint, anything rooibos-related.

Don’t prefer: Smoky, rosemary, savory flavors, floral (other than lavender), plain tea.

I always drink flavored tea, and preferably caffeine-free. I’ll try just about anything though! Let me know if you’re interested in a swap!

My ratings are kind of meaningless, but basically
90-100 pretty perfect
80-89 really good
70-79 good, but not the best
60-69 okay, but probably not for me
1-59 varying degrees of dislike
