484 Tasting Notes
I had this at my in-laws house yesterday. It was pretty good. Relatively mild for a ginger tea, and the lemon complemented the ginger well. I do wish the lemon flavor had been a bit stronger. This is probably not my favorite lemon and ginger tea, but it’s definitely one I would be willing to drink again.
Flavors: Ginger, Lemon
Preparation
This is not bad for a rooibos tea. It has a bit of that smokey/medicinal flavor, but for the most part it tastes very much like strawberry jam. It’s sweet with a bit of tartness, and has a very pleasant strawberry flavor. The strawberry and rooibos flavors actually blend surprisingly well, too. I don’t know that I’ll buy more of this, but I’ll enjoy drinking this cup.
Flavors: Jam, Rooibos, Smoke, Strawberry, Sweet, Tart
Preparation
This is just not my day for sampling teas. This is minty and somewhat fruity, but I don’t like the way the flavors interact. It’s just kind of weird. It seems I don’t like many of Stash’s fruit flavored herbals.
Flavors: Fruity, Mint
Preparation
I’ve never had it. I’d like to try it someday. I mean how often do you run across a fruit that cool looking, and with such an awesome name.
I’m not impressed with this one at all. It smells like blueberry, but it tastes more like licorice than than anything else, and is really rather bland. I really don’t think I’ll be buying this again.
Flavors: Licorice
Preparation
This tea is underwhelming. It mostly tastes like lemongrass with a vague additional fruitiness. It’s not bad, just kind of boring and I’m not a big fan of lemongrass anyway so not really my cup of tea.
Flavors: Fruity, Lemongrass
Preparation
Okay, this is pretty decent. I’m still not a huge fan of Adagio’s black base, but it’s not too bitter here, and this has a pleasant vanilla flavor and is somewhat sweet, which is nice. I feel like it could be brewed a little longer actually, which is rare for me with a black tea. I suspect if I actually did brew it longer, it would get bitter, though. Still, not a bad tea at all, and I bet my husband will really like it (he loves vanilla).
Flavors: Sweet, Vanilla
Preparation
The hospital sent me home with a couple bags of this, so I decided to give it a try. It tastes mostly of black licorice (from the anise), and I quite like it. Which is interesting since I don’t like any of the teas I’ve tried that have been flavored with actual licorice.
Flavors: Anise
