5272 Tasting Notes
My sister is not a huge loose leaf fan as she is impatient and prefers “normal” teas. She does like this one though so today we are both having a cup. Unfortunately, mine does not have the usual balance of sugar and spice. One of the scoops was filled with the sugar crystals so the usual cinnamon has been drowned out. This is the first time I am not in love with this tea but I am still enjoying it.
Preparation
Sipdown…of sorts. I have enough left for one cup but that is going to my roommate so she can try it out.
This won’t be a reorder for me just because I am not a coffee drinker so I probably won’t reach for it all that often. I have enjoyed this sample though and would recommend it for anyone who even slightly likes coffee. It is flavorful as in addition to the coffee it has notes of nuts and chocolate and a hint vanilla caramel sweetness. Yum :)
Preparation
I am definitely going through this fast. It is just soo good. Luckily my sister preferred Nutcracker Sweet so that left the cup of this for me to enjoy. Even cooled it is delicious :)
Preparation
So I brewed this and then started cooking and so this cooled quite a bit. It was still good but I personally prefer it when it is hot. I also gave this to my sister to try and ended up losing the cup to her. There are plenty more bags of this in the cupboard though so I was not too concerned.
Preparation
One more cup of this left after this and I think the coconut will forever be lost. The lime flavor is impressively natural and distinct but it competes with black base which can be slightly astringent. If anyone has suggestions about how to brew this to bring out the coconutty sweetness, I would love to hear them!
Preparation
Cold brewed two sachets in a 500 mL water bottle last night for around 8 hours. I was hoping this would bring out the taste of the pomegranate but it may have actually had the opposite effect because this is highly vegetal and there is no pomegranate to be found. I will just have to keep trying to find the perfect way to get through this tea.
On a related, but different note, I am thinking about trying some Southern Boy Teas. I read that the suggested way of making them was to hot brew them and then put them over ice. However, I really like the cold brewing method so I am wondering if anyone has made them that way and if they are good when prepped using that method?
Preparation
Today this cup is extra creamy. I brewed it normally but it cooled a little bit more than usual and that is doing wonders for the creaminess of the coconut. Usually you can taste the raspberry and coconut as separate but delicious components but today they are blending together beautifully. It’s like enjoying a bowl of fresh juicy raspberries and sweet cream. Mmmm…
Preparation
That sounds so good. I got some of this for a friend’s Christmas present. I’d never smelled it before as my BFF is allergic to raspberries. I might have to try some. :)
This time there was less coffee beans in the infuser since the coffee flavor is significantly toned down which, as a person who doesn’t drink coffee, I like. The other flavors are able to shine and so I am getting a bit more of a sweet chocolate hazelnut coffee tea. I think as far as coffee teas go that I prefer the JavaVana mate from Teavana but I don’t think it will be hard to get through this sample either.
Preparation
I always make two cups of tea at once. Usually, when I have new teas to try, I make one tea I know I like and one tea that I have never had before. That way if I really don’t like the new tea, I still have another cup to enjoy. When I made the Strawberry Chocolate tea, I also resteeped the Marshmallow Snowflake for a third time and unfortunately the flavor just did not hold up and so both teas got dumped.
As a result, rather than trying another tea, I decided to make two teas I know I like, this and Glitter & Gold. Both delicious in their own ways. This is a cup of blueberry juice. The blueberry flavor is present and tasty with an added sweetness to round everything out. Always a pleasant cup of tea.
