1113 Tasting Notes
Having some really delicious sheng today while cleaning and prepping the house for thanksgiving. We are cooking for 11 people tonight! My husband is smoking a turkey, and we are making spicy collards, maple roasted Brussels sprouts, and dinner rolls. Oh and I made apple pie! My MIL is bringing scalloped corn and a pumpkin cake, and my mom is bringing fancy baked mashed potatoes with cream cheese in them (around here we call them party potatoes!)
Anyway I’m very thankful for all my wonderful steepster friends. Hope you all have a safe and warm holiday and tummies full of delicious food and of course TEA! <3

My Butiki order came today! Squee!!!
This tea is exactly like I imagined it. Super natural raspberry, insanely good oolong shining through, rich buttery cashew oozing over it all. Gah! What am I going to do without Butiki?!?!!?
I’ve been craving cashew butter ever since I tried this tea so I’m having a honey crisp apple with cashew butter for a snack as we speak :)

I used to buy this raw cashew butter that is $30 a jar. I always justified it by saying it takes me a month to get through it and it’s my only sweet treat so I deserve it. I love cashew butter. :)

Right! Also, for some reason the raw cashew butter tastes infinitely more awesome than regular cashew butter to me but alas my grocery store no longer sells it. :(
We have a local food co-op that makes it’s own raw cashew butter in house and sells it…ohmahgah it’s good! I think they just use a vitamix blender Stacy, you could make your own!!
My order is still two days away according to the tracking and it has this in it! Gah!!!
There is a soy butter that I kinda go bonkers for. So good!
I will probably try one of the new caffeine free teas yet tonight, and definitely smoked maple banana tomorrow! Happy times :D
Hmmmmm, I do have a vitamix and I do have a few bags of cashews (don’t judge me :P)

I like golden tip, then full leaf. I have regular, can send you . Out of three regular is #3 IMHO

I have had the golden tip Dian Hong and really liked it! Full leaf has the biggest discount, so I’ll probably go for that. Wowzers, this is one of the best flavored puerhs I’ve had! It tastes like a sweet almond cookie or maybe a scone with an orange glaze. Slightly earthy puerh undertone. Dirty sexy French scone! hahaha! YUM :)

This oolong is floral, sweet and vegetal, with a light toasty baked flavor! Really lovely lingering taste on my tongue. There might be a hint of a mineral note, something I can’t quite put my finger on. Quite complex and a refreshing change from the strongly vegetal green oolongs!

This is such a nice shou! Only my 2nd tea ever from White2Tea. This is the first shou I’ve had with pronounced camphor notes that I’ve actually enjoyed. It is quite balanced with the earthiness, sweetness, and dark fruity notes. A perfect tea for a cold and snowy day :)
