Twinings

My absolute favorite for a green tea (plain, that is). The leaves are good quality leaves, and whole too, and they unfurl after the first infusion. It has a delicious, vegetal flavor, but be wary: The instructions tell you to steep it for 5 minutes, which makes it much too bitter. Between 2 and 4 minutes seems to be where the sweet spot is. Otherwise, I really recommend this tea! It works for about 2 to 3 infusions for me.

I had this tea this morning it was decent. It is way more apple then tea. Kind of like apple cider. Its a good morning tea. I am separated from my whole tea collection right now so this is a pretty good stand-in.

This tea is pretty good. It smells delicious. It isn’t particularly strong but it does have a nice blend of spices. I don’t really taste the apple but I think it helps dull the harshness of spice that I sometimes find to be a probably with unaltered chai tea.

I really like this tea. It is like hot cider and tea mixed together. Great Fall morning tea.

This is a favorite … kind of my “comfort tea” – it always makes me feel good after I have drunk some.

I love Lady Grey tea, and I love Twining’s best of all- it’s basically a lighter version of traditional Earl Grey. I’ve found this to be a very versatile tea- drinkable at any time of day.

A nice strong black tea. I really liked it although i brewed it for only about 3 minutes. i think it would be better at about 5 min

Best chamomile ever. You need hardly any sweetener with it. I’m really annoyed that my local grocery stores no longer carry it.

Kick-ass tea, especailly for winter or those days you have to get up at 3am for some nefarious reason. Just be sure only to have one or two cups a day or you’ll have to be pried off of the ceiling.

Wimpy, wimpy, wimpy…even after brewing for five minutes. A real disappointment from such a good brand likeTwining’s.

Irish Breakfast has a great roundness and presence without being too bitter or strong. Great with milk, but I usually drink it without.

Excellent in my afternoon Modern poetry seminar. A good accompaniment to anything by T.S. Eliot.

Delightful! Light and not bitter.

One of my favorite teas! Its a unique, but great aroma and the bergamot is a really great flavor in the tea!

Backlogging…

I oversteeped this by 4 minutes or so yesterday and it still wasn’t undrinkable. I did end up adding more water after a few sips but honestly it wasn’t ever bitter. Not my best cup of tea ever but still pretty decent (and super strong for a sleepy morning)!

I swear, you cannot go wrong with this blend. It’s not OMGAMAZING but it is pretty darn good and also very forgiving, as far as steeping time is concerned. Two thumbs up for today’s cup for sure!

Today this turned out a tad strong even for my tastes. Perfect after I drank 1/2 of it and added some more water.
