This was the first tea I tried from Traditional Medicinals, and I really enjoyed it. The taste was unusual, but not unpleasant.

Guys…. I have a horrible sore throat.. and I’m not sure if it’s from allergies or not.. I’ve never had them. So I’m drinking a lovely mug of this right now and it’s helping so much. I love the licorice in this herbal. Light lemony notes and a nice sweetness from the touch of honey I added.

I can’t find a page for the plain Smooth Move so I will rate it on this page. The stuff works. It is not a great tasting tea but it is effective. To me it is like drinking black licorice, ergh, but I don’t put anything in it as I want it to work well. :-/ Steeped, with a cover on, for 15 min. then drunk as quickly as possible!

I’m really happy with this one! When you’re drinking it, you can taste the peppermint and almost like a chai flavor. After that though, you can feel that chilling sensation on your throat. I love that you don’t have to taste the Menthol while you’re drinking it, only after. I had been a fan of the Breathe Easy by Traditional, but now this one’s my favorite.

A favorite tea for colds so far.

I like how this one has such a sweet aftertaste. When I saw “breathe easy”, I automatically thought bitter, sharp flavors to open up sinuses. But this one did the trick without that, so I was happy about that:) The only thng I wasn’t a fan of was how it eventually tastes sort of bland…even though it is sweet, it’s very light and there’s not much to it than that. Overall though, I’ll enjoy the box I have but probably won’t reorder.

This is my new go-to tea for sore throats. I get very bad sore throats sometimes and I’ve tried every remedy from lozenges to cough drops to concoctions known to make sore throats better and this one of the few things that really provides relief. The lemon is great because it has healing properties. Combine that with honey and you’ve got everything you need to get back to feeling good.

This tea is the hub of the performing arts department, namely among vocalists and its easy to see why. It is naturally sweet so there is no need for sweeteners which can irritate sore throats and perpetuate laryngitis. Honey compliments this really well, so if a healthy sweetener is desired, a tsp of honey enhances the flavors and doesn’t overpower it. It’s scent is very herbal and medicine-like but there is a sweet aroma emitted as well. This tea is perfect and is among the most liked in our health conscious, taste connoisseurs, social circle. It’s also a favorite amongst those who generally detest tea. It’s super soothing. Super smooth in taste and with a bit of a slimy texture from the licorice and mallow. To ward off colds and enhance it’s medicinal properties (and add a pleasant spicy taste), I take 1 tsp of freshly fine chopped ginger per 2 cups of water and make a decoction for 20 minutes, simmering the ginger for 15 minutes, then turning off the heat and steeping this tea in the remaining 5 minutes. It warms up the body and induces “feel good” vibes to get one off the bed and ready to sing. This is my favorite packet tea!!

Unfortunately, I am reviewing tea, but not this specific one.
I am reviewing the Chamomile Smooth Move Tea, on THIS page, because that one does not exist.
On another unfortunate note, I have been sick and constipated lately. This tea works wonders.
However, I am afraid to mess with it (add sugar, et c) because for some reason I think it will destroy the purpose of it.
I don’t know why, but the taste reminds me of BABY CORN.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love baby corn, but not as a tea.

Strep totally, totally sucks. This has been helping a little, and it’s been pretty much the only tea-like beverage I’ve come close to enjoying lately. Kick in, meds, kick in!

Oh, yuck! Their normal throat coat works well, or anything with licorice if you like licorice. Last time I had strep, gargling with salt water was the only thing that helped, and then finally some oil of oregano and grapefruit seed oil – the last two only because I have to avoid antibiotics due to a bad allergy. I hope you feel better really soon!

Veronica

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. I had strep back in December, and you’re right, it totally sucks.

TheTeaFairy

Oh no, strep is so awful! Feel better soon!

Thanks, everyone! I am feeling somewhat better, and the salt water has been helping. Still not up to teaching, but at least we’re past the part where I’m contagious.

As a teacher, every September my throat goes through pure hell. I have to get reacquainted with the amount of talking my calling requires. After five years in the classroom, this is still my go-to remedy. It tastes well and works even better.

Perfect to drink whenever your throat is feeling raw. The instructions say to steep it for fifteen minutes; it’s worth doing this if you have a really terrible throat, but I like to put a cover on top of the cup to try to keep it warm while it’s steeping. A thermos would be an even better idea.

This tea is super licorice-rich – which makes sense. Licorice root is traditionally used as cough suppressant and for upper respiratory infections. I wouldn’t say that this tea is the most indulgent of flavours, but it is without a doubt effective at taming a lion-filled chest. A dear friend of mine was sick in the hospital with pneumonia, and I gave him this tea to use during his time there. Needless to say, he had rave reviews for the tea, and I’m passing them on to you. Worth a try when your lungs need some soothing magic.
