Tangy with a hint of sweetness. This has a very strong ginger flavor, which is great right now because I have a cold, but might be overwhelming if my sense of smell were working properly. I think this is great for colds and probably stomach issues, but I don’t know that I would drink it as an everyday tea.
I used 1 teabag in a 16 oz mug, steeped for about 5 minutes.
Initial taste test demonstrates this tea be reminiscent of ginger milk tea from the teahouse I used to go to after english classes at the college where I did my technical degree.
Moreover the taste of hot shamomille is like the home remedy I still use for having caught a cold. While this is not an everyday tea, you will be hard pressed to find fault with it as a general restorative.
Compared to the regular Throat Coat tea from this company, this tastes like it has significantly less liquorice in it. Therefore, I like it better. Throat is still scratchy so time for some soup.
Well, it seems I’m catching a cold, right on the tail end of my flu experience. Joy!
I added some (local, organic, unprocessed) honey like the box suggests and it’s REALLY sweet (and I didn’t even add that much honey either). Good thing I like sweet and this is almost even too sweet for me.
I don’t like this tea much for taste because of my feelings on licorice but I’ll brave it due to my scratchy throat. It’s better now than it was this morning, but it’s still very uncomfortable.
I really need to get more sleep, although I doubt I’ll get it because I need to clean the house before the catsitters arrive on Friday and leave for the airport at 4:30am on Friday morning. So much fun.
Preparation
I love this tea. I drink it all alone without anything to alter its taste. It’s already tasty on its own. Just the right amount of mint to make you feel refreshed.
Don’t try to drink this tea cold though, I tried it out of curiosity and made me feel disoriented.
Preparation
This tea, I believe, can not be rated accurately due to the fact that I use it for a sleep -aide. If I was rating it for taste, it would probably be around a 50%. However, the overall experience is much better. The aroma promotes relaxation and almost reminds me of eucalyptus or mint.
I have not yet been able to master a great sleepy time tea with loose leaf; therefore, this is the best bet.
