I keep stealing this from my boyfriends stash. I need to bring some of my own teas over to his house to drink, so I can work on my own stash!
I’ve been so, so busy lately, and its really cutting into my tea drinking, which is starting to distress me. I want to have more time to sit and drink tea!
Today is not looking much easier, either. Damn.
Oh, daylight savings time. I hate you. So, so much.
Backlog-
Had this on Saturday during a knitting date with my best friend. My progress continues!
I’d forgotten just how much I do like this. I’ll get some more when I’ve managed to sip down a good chunk of the ol cupboard. I’ve got too many new teas, and teas I have not tried, to justify getting this, especially as its available everywhere, at any time.
Solid. Basic. Hard to screw up. I like that in a tea.
Knit on! I’ve spent a good chunk of my time off re-teaching myself to crochet after a twenty-year hiatus…results: one 15-foot Dr. Who-ish scarf in colored stripes so ugly that I wouldn’t ask anybody but me to wear it, and a start on a dignified pastel scarf in textured confetti yarn that is actually suitable for gift giving :)
I only know one stitch, but I’m really enjoying it. I’m working on a stripy scarf myself, and its been an experience, but a good one! I can’t wait for it to be done, so I can wear it.
The scarf continues on apace. My friend who is teaching me the knitting, provided me with this cup of tea, which was a delightful side to all the knitting.
I’m going much faster now, but still have so much to learn.
This tea remains a solid, basic, hard to screw up cup of tea. Hurrah.
Fortunatly my stomach has calmed down considerably this morning. The three cups of ginger tea I drank last night certainly helped, I think.
This morning its raining! Hooray! My favorite weather is rain, by a long shot.
The base of this tea is coming out extra strong today, but I can still find the vanilla and almond in it.
An excellent quick cup, as I’ve got to run out and go to work.
So is everyone elses cupboards still all disordered? Its hard find my teas! Eeep!
Gosh today was busy. So busy, that I didn’t even log this when I drank it this morning! I’m trying to coax fall in by drinking teas that feel more fall like to me.
Maybe it will work?
So I teach a nutrition class, a couple of times a week, and the one I teach on Saturday morning is being given to another instructor. The class is small, and the thinking is that a new teacher might grow the class.
I’m devastated. I love my class, they’re fantastic, and I’m really upset about being taken off it.
Its gonna be a tough week. I’m going t be sad.
I’ve got some bright side ideas, but I’m not ready for thm yet. So I’m going to drink my tea, and get ready for today.
There was an earthquake last night! I’m in the US west coast, and felt my house and the bed shaking at 3 in the morning. Not a completely unique feeling (we get them every couple of years or so), but this was quite a big one! I hope people closer to the epicenter are alright.
I haven’t had this in a while. It was time for another cup of tea, and this sounded good. Sipping this reminds me how much I like this. Its nice, basic, and easy. Very good.
I had leftover milk in my creamer, so instead of throwing it away, or pouring it back into the jug, I am brewing a cup, and trying an experiment.
Now, I prefer my tea black. I am of the opinion that if a tea needs milk or sugar, then its not a fantastic tea.
But, I’ve recently been drinking down some less enjoyed teas, and milk is helping. And the flavor difference in the teas I don’t particularly care for made me wonder about the difference that might occur in teas I like.
That’s a longwinded way of saying that I added milk to this cup today.
I don’t notice a huge difference here. It sweetens the almond into a more marzipan-y taste, but I wouldent say that it really improves the cup. Still, an interesting experiment!
What is it with my sleep schedule this morning? I woke up waaaay to early. Gah.
So, tea is required. The usual Thursday morning requirements hold strong- It needs to be uncomplicated, tasty, and almost ignorable as I wander around my house bumping into things.
Bingo.
Today I had work, a lecture on modern art, and a small shopping trip! Excelent day, but now I need to write 3000 words to be on track for Camp Nanowrimo. So I need tea.
Lets start with something with caffine. I’m tired enough to need it.
This is it- sweet, uncomplicated, mellow. Good start. Lets get cracking!
Happy first day of spring, everyone! I’ve got a lot to do today, so its a quick cup to get me going.
This might never be “the one true tea” but I think I’ll normally have some around. Its perfect for a morning like today, when I have to gulp n’ go.
Onwards, to the day!
Did not sleep well last night. Need a simple, straitforward, uncomplicated cup. Bingo!
Vanilla Almond is an always have for me, as I need a failsafe tea. Something for just such mornings, that I can steep, sip, and forget about, and still enjoy.
Good.
Need a second cup of tea before I go to work.
This is one of my failsafe teas. Quick, easy, tasty, and I have not managed to screw it up yet.
Excelent.
Sip sip. Off to work.
Flavors: Vanilla
Why is waking up so hard? My bed is an oasis of softness and warmth, and its very hard to remove myself from its embrace.
Tea is often the only motivator to get out of bed.
I’ve noticed that I reach for this faster than just about everything on a Thursday morning, my fastest and earliest day of the week. Probably because its bagged, so brewes up with minimal supervision, and sips very nicely.
I hate how the bed feels especially comfy right before you have to get up, like if you wake up 10-20 minutes before your alarm goes off, and you just want to lie there and enjoy that softness and warmth whilst being awake.
Its just not fair. Fjellrv, and then when you go back to bed, its never quite as comfortable, and I have a hard time getting to sleep. How unfair.

We all need some time to just sit and drink tea and veg. I don’t like feeling frazzled. Sounds like you feel the same.
