Another tea that I had that I ended up giving to my mom ‘cause of the hibiscus. I’m glad it was a free bag, otherwise I’d have a harder time saying goodbye to the few that I’ve given her. But I guess if you’re not going to drink them, you might as well pass them along.
Bye tea!
Steeped tea, Please Please Please cut back on the blends that have hibiscus! Not everyone likes it and it’s too bad that a lot of the ones I want to like have it in it.
Added 1t of sugar, although I’m not convinced it was necessary. With sugar (or perhaps, naturally) it has an overly sweet flavor that is likely from the “natural flavor”. I don’t really know what pina colada is supposed to taste like short of a tropical drink, but it’s not something I particularly enjoy.
Preparation
I’ve had this one twice now, once with a bubblegum in my steeper, and once without. The addition of the gum definitely sweetens up the tea a little, which I like, but I also like the more tart version of this. I had high hopes for this one, since it’s a fruit tea that has a couple of my favourite flavours, and I wasn’t disappointed! Will have to pick up some more of this the next time I order from this company. :)
time for a full review:

many thanks to christina for letting me help with the tea party setup and for giving me this tea
i wonder if there is a tea that tastes peppery more than this.

This one reminds me of lemon meringue pie – mmmm. It’s a light taste, though, which is good considering the green tea base. I do enjoy my lemon teas, and this one is a nice flavour. Not as strong as a lemon as I usually like, but I don’t think it would work in this case.

I forgot all about this during yesterday’s epic Earl Grey face-off. :) I just have a small bag of it, got it from one of those community fundraising things a couple years back. Anyway, I was in the mood for a tea I could add milk to, and this was near the front of my cupboard (how did I miss it yesterday) so here we are.
It smells really good, like there’s a definite creamy vanilla scent that blends in well with the bergamot. When I first tasted it, I was suprised to find it quite bitter! Like, enough so that I couldn’t really pay attention to the other flavours at all. It tasted like I had oversteeped it, though the package says steep for 3-7min and I went with 4min, so I didn’t think that was particularly excessive. Anyway, I guess it’s a good thing that I was planning to add milk to this anyway! I added more than my usual splash of milk, and that made it entirely drinkable. It still smells a lot better than it tastes, though.

I was thinking of purchasing this tea, and voila! I found a sample my husband’s cousin gave to me on my wedding day ;). I wasn’t necessarily stressed tonight- just a little tired and quickly grabbed a tea out of the cupboard to bring to my evening shift. I like this tea-no artificialness, and an “earthy” herbal tea taste. It does have a bit of a medicinal taste to it (probably the St. Johns Wort?) but it doesn’t bother me none. I’ll make sure to keep this on hand on those stressful days when I can’t drink a glass of Merlot ;).
Flavors: Lemongrass, Medicinal

when i smell the leaves wet, it has a major sent of freshly cut grass and a minor scent of asparagus and for some strange reason nuts. (could be because i have a bag of camellia on the table) :)

First post! Yay me!
I drink my teas black, and sometimes with a brown sugar cube on the side. or with a dash of milk for my beloved OP and EG teas.
I just finshed organizing my tea rack and decided to pour a cup so here is the review:
Steeped Tea’s Egg Noggin’ looks and smells delicious but i’m not sure where the orange peel comes into play.
the taste of the tea is a mild, creamy black tea with a hint of spice.
nothing more, nothing less.
It seems to me that Egg Nogg is a popular taste around the holidays but perhaps it is one that is best left as a Latte or served out of the carton.

I love Earl Greys, so I was all YAY when I received this as a sample. It’s pretty good, but perhaps a bit too vanilla-tasting for my liking. I like to be able to taste my bergamot, and I’m not really getting any of that here. That said, it’s still quite drinkable as a Monday morning beverage.
I made this last night as an eggnog latte. It was my first eggnog latte with a steeped tea instead of powdered tea, and I was very pleased with the way this worked with the eggnog, Lots of sweet cinnamon, but also a pleasant fruity note, and something – I think the jasmine- to differentiate this from other cinnamony chai kind of teas.
Holding off rating till I’ve had it straight, but I may use this one to finish off the eggnog later.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Fruity, Sweet
I have to be completely honest…. I only bought this tea because a portion of the sales went to JDRF. Upon first sniff I still wasn’t to sure, I actually left the dry leaves sit in my travel mug for work for a couple of days until I decided I have had enough moving it around the counter out of my way every time I went to do something in the kitchen. After finally trying it I don’t know why I wanted so long!! Im getting a raspberry taste followed up by a bit of apple and its delicious. I think this one may even make an amazing iced tea or good with a bit of carbonated water. Kind of laughing at myself now that I didn’t try this one sooner. Even the smell of it while it was brewing and drinking it was delicious. Made me think summer isn’t so far away even if it is December lol!

A re-review of this tea
When I first purchased this tea last year I found it a little bland (mostly a woody taste with a very mild citrus taste that barely pops through). However, I just purchased another 50 grams and decided to give this tea another shot.
First off, I’d like to say that I’m sure they reformulated this tea. The package says honeybush, lime pieces, and orange peel. Nothing about lemon. With that being said, I brewed up this tea and my sentiments are the same: still a little bland. However, I have been adding lemon myrtle to the mix and I really enjoy the tea this way. Just like rooibos, I find it’s too bland on its own, but mixed with other stuff it’s a nice base tea. Still going to keep the rating at 69 on it’s own, but the way I make it with lemon myrtle, I would rate it probably a 75.
Side note: there is a local tea shop in my town called International House of Tea that I have yet to go to and they sell a sampler pack with different honeybush blends. When I get below 25 teas (minus the 24 days of tea samples (If you minus those ones out I’m at 27 teas…) I want to hit that place up and buy different sampler packs to try them out!

A re-review of this tea (meaning I deleted the old note, making a new):
Now that the summer is over and I’m getting ready to go back to my normal routine of working 3 jobs, I decided to not drink wine in the evenings on days where I work at 9am or earlier. I wasn’t drinking crazy amounts, but sometimes even a small amounts can make my stomach feel not so good in the morning (I have a weak stomach- even black tea can bother it and coffee is totally out of the question). So instead of wine, I’m switching to chamomile tea to relax me in those evenings. I have nearly a full tin of this blend, plus nearly a full tin of a plain chamomile, and I’ve had both teas for a while and need to use them up anyways.
As for this tea, It tastes like floral chamomile, mildly of mint, and if you steep it long enough, licorice. I have come to discover I’m not big on licorice teas and will only have them if I have a sore throat, so I brew this for less than 5 min so the licorice taste is muted. Otherwise, this is a nice, calming tea. I will be using it up in the following weeks and months, but I will not buy it again because I can just mix chamomile tea with peppermint (two teas I always have on hand) and if I want a licorice tea for a sore throat, I have better options in my collection as well. Not to mention that this tea is pricey for what’s in it…
Flavors: Floral, Licorice, Mint

This is probably the nicest white tea I have had yet (though my exposure to white teas are pretty limited). The scent of the tea in it’s packet is very chocolatey, almost like chocolate raspberry. When brewed, the taste of cherries is most predominant but it is a very light flavour. The chocolate is almost undetectable. It is a very gentle and pleasing cup of tea when brewed properly (make sure the water isn’t too hot). I would recommend this for someone who wants a light, healthy tea which doesn’t taste overly tea-like.
Flavors: Cherry, Chocolate
