I logged this tea MONTHS ago. Wasn’t great but wasn’t the worst I have had either. As I am trying this for the 2nd time today I still can’t say I like it. I even understeeped. Smells great but it’s not a good hot cuppa. Maybe it’s one of those that is supposed to be iced. I won’t be buying this one again, sorry.
When I saw this in the store, I got so excited! As I brewed it, the cup smelled wonderful! …And then I tasted it, and I got disappointed.
May be my personal dislike of chamomile and hibiscus throwing off the taste, because all of the other ingredients strike me as agreeable. It was too tart and bitter, even when weakly steeped and with stevia sweetener. Stash normally doesn’t let me down, but this just left me thirsty for something (anything) else.
I grabbed the wrong teabag this morning so I didn’t intend to drink this. One thing I can say in its favour is that it’s very hard to scald this green tea since I used boiling water (I thought it was a black tea) and steeped it for quite awhile. Or it could just be the sourness of the hibiscus is disguising any bitterness
That tartness disguises most of the green tea flavour unfortunatly. And I supect the company is cheating and using hibiscus instead of the actual fruit flavours for all their pomegranate/cranberry/raspberry teas because they all taste remarkably similar, I find.
Thumbs down for you Stash!
I haven’t had much time to tealog with all my midterms but they are finally over and I am about to start break so I finally have time to enjoy and log my teas again. This tea is pretty decent. It is still not one of my favorite teas but I like how flavorful it is.
This tea isn’t bad. It is not my favorite but I find it relaxing. I needed something relaxing to help me study for my Intro to Molecular Evolutionary Anthropology Midterm :-(
Usually I let this steep far longer than it actually is intended to, just because it is very faint to start with. For whatever reason, I really like this blend, even though it doesn’t seem to make any logical sense with chai spices in my head. Super soft and creamy with milk and a bit of stevia / sugar.
