I really like this one, but it can not be steeped for a long time. It’s perfect in the first few minutes, but if you leave the bag in the ginger will become too aggressive.

Delicious, especially with soy milk. I hear the stovetop method is delicious but I don’t have a stovetop :)

Mom finished the bags off before I could get to any. (I was too mesmerized by the Celstial Seasonings Xmas teas and Bigelow’s Apple Cider). She really enjoys it, even without any sweetener, so for that alone I’ll give it a smiley face rating until the day I can actually get to it.

The aroma was fairly light, but a nice dark color. I found the flavor a little weak. It wasn’t bad, it was just kinda meh. I don’t think I’ll get this again.

It might be better with milk.

I decided to reach to the back of the cupboard and pull out the “Stash” of Christmas/Holiday teas that get neglected through the summer. The main smell of this one is mint, and the taste…mint. Spearmint. Upon a second sip I can smell cinnamon joining the party. The taste is still mainly mint, and it’s a nice moderate mint. Not too strong or weak. If you let the tea stay on your tongue for a couple seconds you can notice more of the spicey taste. Tastes best when it’s hot, not just warm. Steep this one in a winter themed mug (like I just did) for the full effect!

Good quality mint tea. Although I never seem to be able to taste the green tea or the lemongrass. Maybe it’s me? Anyway. My housemates love it. So that’s definitely worth something.

New years day! My mom made quiche this morning and I made this chai. Breakfast in the kitchen nook. A quiet, overcast day and snow on the ground. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m really warming up to this chai. I gave it a long steep and added a tablespoon of raw sugar and probably a tablespoon and a half of heavy cream. It’s sweet, silky, and the spices come through near the end of a sip. The tea flavor isn’t quite as strong as I’d like – a little watery I suppose – but, I think if I used two tea bags next time it would be perfect. Nevertheless! Chai Spice gets a bit of a ratings bump.

Happy new years, everyone! I hope it’s a good morning for you, too.

Quiche and chai… hmmm… never thought of pairing those.

Micah

Any strong black tea would probably be great with quiche since the tea would cut through the heaviness of the eggs and cheese nicely. But this was also good! Savory and sweet.

Micah

Although… I suppose if you don’t like a “thick” feeling in your mouth you might want to drink your tea without any dairy added if you’re eating quiche.

thinks to self… Matcha quiche/omlette?

That sounds like a beautiful way to kick off a decade.

My friends always seem to have this on hand at their house. It’s usually the only alternative to their other staple which is something like Lipton. So I always opt for Chai Spice. With a little milk and sugar, it’s not too shabby.

Virtually no flavor. Run far, far away from this tea.

It’s not bad for a generic green! I didn’t have any problems with the bitterness, but I also tend to use a little more water than suggested (and actually to enjoy pungent aftertastes…). I agree with other reviewers—this is a solid “everyday” tea.

I wanted to like this tea, but there’s no pumpkin flavor to it, just spice. Frankly, with milk, it tastes like so-so chai. Which is okay, but not what I was expecting from this tea. I would not buy this tea again.

Great breakfast tea with a nice ginger flavor that is not too overwhelming. After trying this one, breakfast tea without ginger just has not been the same.

Now that I’ve drunk enough earl greys to have something to compare this tea to, I realize just how weak and watery it really is. I heard somewhere that the de-caffination process can leach the flavour from the tea aswell as the antioxidants. Does anyone know if this is true?

Anyway, so in summary this is a pretty pathetic specimen of an earl grey tea. Boo, hiss.

Dag. Carolyn [I think it was Carolyn] linked me a good article about decaffeinating teas once, but I have no idea where it is. CAROLYN HALP!

The black teas used in this earl grey are a bit too harsh for me to drink it without milk, but other than that it wasn’t bad. The bergamot flavouring was fairly weak and the overall taste nothing special. A decent tea, but not one I’d write home about.

Light and fruity tea with a pleasant aroma that’s not too cloying. Makes an excellent iced tea, too!

Not bad, but not a favorite. One more experience in the ‘I don’t like flavored teas’ lesson.

Some white teas are really too dry for me, but with the honey included in this one, it is perfect.
