Buttery smooth but velvety caramel and chocolate! Really amazing! Nice! Many of you know I hate to use the term “mouth feel” but that’s the only way I can explain it! It has a nice mouth feel (I cringe every time I say it! LOL) and the flavor is amazing!
LOVE THIS.
OMG! LOVE THIS!
The name is Cinnamon Chocolate Brownie and that’s exactly what it tastes like in that order…first Cinnamon, then Chocolate, then Brownie! Smooth! A treat without being too sugary, too spicy, or too chocolatey! Lovely mix of ingredients and flavors! Highly recommended!
A great way to start a day and a great way to start the week! This is strong and malty…somewhat astringent but in a good way! There are notes of floral, grassy, and sweet hints that seem to morph thru-out the sip. It has a strong/malty yet buttery-black aftertaste. It’s an awesome morning tea! I really like this!
I LOVE this tea. It is my ultimate favorite white. It’s flavorful, juicy, malty, fruity and lasts many many steeps. It is an Assam version of a bai mu dan (pai mutan, white peony) but with oodles more of a peachy, nectar, melon type flavor that just persists throughout steeps (ive gone up to 7 infusions and its still got flavor to spare!). Ive tried other assam whites from other estates, but none of them even get close to the quality and flavor of the one sold by S & V. I bought a pound of it last year and have kept it in a tin in my cupboard and even after a year of sitting there, it still tastes and brews like it did when i first purchased it. Im very impressed with this tea.
Preparation
Hot water wasn’t HOT when I infused this! Oops! Go figure for a Monday Morning…anyhow…still went with the infusion for about 10 minutes in cold water and it was much lighter in color and flavor but still quite nice and yummy cold! A good mistake on my part, I suppose! :) All ended well
Another tea from LiberTEAs…thanks so much!!!
This is another goodie! It’s pleasantly surprised with this one – it’s not your stereotypical astringent EG it’s smoother and herbally/floral. Oddly…I love the hint of rosemary! The floral notes are lovely and not overpowering. The smooth black tea pops, too!
This is really something special right here! It’s a wonderful medium strength black tea with juicy lemon and orange notes – differs from your stereotypical bergamot – and slight notes of EG – nothing over the top as far as the EG flavoring. The difference in the orange flavor is what makes this one special! Two THUMBS UP!!!!!
To be perfectly honest, I’m not even sure this is the right tea. I found it at a local cafe that had made up little samples of loose tea for stocking stuffers. All it came with was a label for “Rose Congou.” I looked up teas companies that the store carried and this one was the only that matched.
Onto the tasting note…
I have finally figured out what a “floral” note means. And this did smell like roses. I thought that was going to be a problem, but on the whole, it was actually good. The black tea seemed to be lighter with the rose in it. I’m tempted to try it with some sugar on the next cup.
All in all, pretty good for a mystery sample!
I wanted Earl Grey this morning and I’ve had this for a while but haven’t tried it yet, so I decided that today is the day!
This is really less an Earl Grey and much more a flavored rose congou – but that’s OK, because I really like the flavors that are going on. I love the rosemary in this blend, it really adds an interesting dimension. The flavors are very harmonious.
