I generally drink SerendipiTea’s Jasmine Yin Hao, but the girl behind the counter at my favorite coffee/tea shop recommended I try this. Sorry to say that I didn’t care for this at all. The aroma and taste reminded me of stale Rice Krispies.

Tea #33 from Another Traveling Tea Box

It dawned on me that y’all are probably getting sick of me popping up on your dashboards so often. Fear not; I’m down to the last 10 or so samples from this box (that I wanted to try).

This would be a good night time/relaxation cup, or with honey. It’s very (VERY) dominantly chamomile, so if you don’t like the taste of it move along. If you do, this is pretty nice. There’s a subtle appley tartness hiding in the cup that adds a little interest and keeps it from putting me to bed. Otherwise not much of note here.

I’ve been putting this cup off for months now – it was one I received in the Amoda tasting box! I guess the description just never appealed to me.

And, I guess I wasn’t missing too much. It’s an interesting tea, but not one that I’ll miss. It’s about 80% jasmine oolong (with an emphasis on jasmine) while the earthy puerh notes linger on in the background. It makes me think of two siblings clamoring for attention, while one jumps up front with arms outstretched so the smaller one can’t get by.

Yep. That’s this tea.

i love this chai. i make a REALLY strong concentrate with lots of sugar, and then mix it 50/50 with hot or cold milk for the most amazing chai latte of your life. and it’s caffeine free so you can have it any time of day.

i really like chamomile. but i can’t tell a difference from one brand to another. if the blend says, “100% egyptian chamomile” then yeah, i’m going to like it. but seriously, it doesn’t matter what brand you get. they are all the same.

they say it is “award-winning” but don’t say who provided the award. i probably would NOT have given it an award, although, with that said, it’s an above-average chai blend. the quality is very high, with actual cardamom pods and well-balanced spices….none of the spices overpower any of the others. it’s a very nice chai. if i had to put my finger on it, i’d just say…it’s not different. it’s not memorable, it’s not unique in any way to make it stand out. but that’s okay, right? a lot of times, you just want…plain chai. and this is a good one. so there you go.

I was a little worried about this blend … I knew I’d like the jasmine Pouchong, but, why did they add pu-erh to the blend? My thoughts when I read the description of this tea is that SerendipiTea ruined a perfectly good jasmine Pouchong by adding pu-erh to it. Yeah, that’s my former dislike for pu-erh coming back to haunt me yet again.

I like pu-erh now, I like pu-erh now, I like pu-erh now!

This is really quite good. I was surprised by how well I liked it. A nicely crafted tea from SerendipiTea and I’m sorry I doubted them.

The pu-erh is more of a background note here, adding some earthiness and some mellow sweetness to the creamy notes of the pouchong and the delicate notes of the jasmine. A really unique but certainly enjoyable blend. I like this one.

Mmm apple tea! I thought I reviewed this but I guess it didn’t go through or I was mistaken. I love how the apple blends so well with hint of jasmine. It makes me think of eating an apple outside in a garden that just bloomed. Come on Spring!

Who knew apple and jasmine can go together? The apple comes through first then the jasmine but they don’t overpower each other. A good apple tea

really nice milk oolong for the price, i’ve seen similar ones sell for more than double. the liquor is very light, this is very much on the light end of oolongs, and the body is very creamy. it really does taste like there is milk in here. it’s a fine tea, subtle, but elegant. good for multiple steepings. so there you go.

wanted to like this, but it tasted artifical to me. the raspberry is very strong, which would be a good thing if it was natural tasting, but between that and the hibiscus, it really does taste like hot raspberry kool-aid. i did not try this tea iced, and maybe that would be better? at least it wasn’t a boring tea — you know you’re drinking something raspberry with this one. oh well, there you go.

a solid blend, a calming tea, very nice for a cold winter bedtime tea. the peppermint is the predominant flavor. the chai spices are so subtle that you can’t pick them out in particular (how do you hide cinnamon? ginger? cardamom?), but you can tell there’s something soothing behind the peppermint. while it is a tea that i would enjoy if you handed it to me in the right setting, it is not one that is particularly memorable nor one i would go out of my way to drink. if i had one mug of this a year, around christmas time, i’d be good with that. so there you go.

This is an interesting one I get buttery, creamy (but not sweet cream like other Milk Oolongs) and floral.. Third steeping was when it had slightly sweet taste appear perhaps another might bring it out more. Not exactly what I was expecting but not disappointed
