This tea is relatively easygoing on the palate, and it definitely makes a great spring or summer delight. I personally prefer it with honey rather than sugar, though it honestly doesn’t need any additives whatsoever (and you should be careful in adding stuff, since the flavor is so light that honey can become overbearing).

Yum! I love having this after dinner because it tastes just like dessert without the guilt. Therefore I particularly enjoy having it with some vanilla ice cream!

I bought a big 1 pound bag of this loose leaf tea. When I smell the dry tea from the big bag there is a sharp orange peel smell that is almost overwhelming. After transferring some of the tea to a smaller container the smell is much better.

So far I made this tea three times. The first time it tasted quite bitter. Not the bitter black tea taste but more of a bitter orange peel taste. I finished the cup but I really didn’t enjoy it at all.

The second and third time tasted much better. I don`t really know why it tasted so much better but maybe the first scoop of tea got some orange peel (or more orange peel) than the others. My rating is based on the two cups of tea that I enjoyed (not the first try).

The smell of the dry leaves is excellent. This tea has a mild and slightly sweet mint taste. I think I like peppermint tea better than Moroccan Mint but this is good too.

The first try I used 2 tsp for 12 oz of boiling water for about 10 minutes and it was quite weak.

The second time I used 2 tsp for 8 oz of boiling water for about 12 minutes and it was a bit better but still a bit weak.

The third time was a charm. I used 2 heaping tsp (about 2.5 tsp) for 8oz of boiling water for about 18 minutes and it was a good strength.

I’m currently sipping this at work. It brewed up surprisingly dark!I’m getting some nice mint taste, but then the aftertaste has this odd meaty flavor for some reason? I’m not sure why, and it feels a bit odd with this tea but it’s not necessarily bad

Emilie

Yeah, the more I drank it, the more I didn’t like it and ended up dumping it out. It was almost ok at first, but nope. I’m wondering if I managed to brew it weird somehow?

I enjoyed this with milk. It had an almost chocolate earthy smell. This was my first Puerh tea and I enjoyed this.

Very earthy, fishy smell. I did not care for this tea. I added honey and I still did not care for this.

Flavors: Dirt, Earth, Fishy

Super Starling!

I’m not into fish flavor. I find it suspicious when people say “this is a delicious fish dish! it doesn’t taste like fish at all!” Then why are you eating fish? Eat chicken if you want a non-fish item. It doesn’t stink up your house or have eyes when you get it from the supermarket. AMIRITE?

I like fish. The flavour of fish is something that you gradually appreciate more and more. From eating a delicious piece of salmon with bbq spices to a raw piece of salmon cut in the form of sashimi. It even tastes good in your stomache.

Having said that, I have a Tuo Cha (small puehr) that smells like garbage / fish / earth.

This is the perfect evening cup of tea for me. Very soothing and can taste spearmint in the after taste. I had it plain and it was comforting and delicious. It’s a light mint taste

Ahh, its raining, its cold, and I had an hour to eat lunch. So a cup of tea it is!
My stomach is coming back around to being able to handle anything other than dry toast, and I’m easing back into tea with mint, which is simple, soothing, and really, really hard to screw up.
I’m pleased to say that Numi has not achieved the messing up of mint tea, and I’m enjoying this very much.

I had a cup of it brewing and sat it in the bedroom, my husband walked in and asked me if our cat peed on the bed., not only does it smell like cat urine but it tastes like it too. This is the most vile tasting thing I’ve ever consumed.

I steeped one bag in a one cup mug with boiling water for about 5 mins.

I love iced white rose tea, I usually buy in bulk from Davidsons (Valentine tea), but picked up some of these to keep on hand for traveling cause it’s easier to handle tea bags. Anyways, the rose flavor is much more subtle in the Numi brand. While I’ll still buy to keep on hand in my purse, for my day to day iced rose tea I will stick with my usual brand since it packs more of a rose punch.

For white rose tea I prefer cold brewing it overnight in the fridge. 1 bag per cup of water and let sit for at least 2-3 hours. To me white tea doesn’t get bitter no matter how long it steeps, so there’s no upper limit here.

Love adding this tea to cold summer teas. Adds a great citrus note that’s just right for a hot day. Sure you could add lemon juice but using this tea allows for the lemon taste to not overwhelm the tea.

drank Orange Spice by Numi Organic Tea
121 tasting notes

Water: 8oz

Leaves: Tea Bag

Steep: 4m

Aroma: Peppery

Color: Reddish brown pink

Taste: I was excited when I spotted this tea at my local Whole Foods, I’ve heard a lot about Numi teas & looked at the flavor selection online. I decided this would be my first tea from them. The aroma from the tea was amazing even before I could even open the box, holding it to my nose right away noticed the peppery spice aroma. That made me even more excited~ I went to brewing the smell of the spices were stronger opening the tea bag. Due to this being a white tea i bought my water to a boil allowing to to cool for a few minutes first. The first steep was 4 minutes the spice aroma remained & was a reddish brown pink color (complex) with good clarity. The first cup was quite spicy from the peppercorn followed up with a sour citrus tone. It was disappointing, the next day I made another cup this one brewed for the same amount of time it has the spice aroma but no spice taste what so ever. It was as though I was drinking a cup of hot sour oranges (I was able to finish the cup). I thought it would be nice to try an organic tea bag with no flavors added to get a more real experience compared to other bags that use natural flavors. Overall I didn’t like this tea, maybe I expected too much coming from this bagged tea due to it’s properties. I ended up returning it to the store b/c i knew I wasn’t going to drink it anymore.

*update
I made this tea again 6/11/2016, Allowing it to cool for 2 minutes
This time around i decided to try it with sweetener coconut sugar & honey. The color was a rusty tone and the clarity was cloudy as i couldn’t see the bottom of my cup. The taste of the 3m was sad and watery I added 1 tsp of coconut sugar but it didn’t really help. 4m the color was much lighter in comparison to the first steep, the clarity remained the same. Spice it once had was completely gone honey didn’t do much.

I bought a box of this when these tisanes first came on the market, and I still have this one, which tells you something. It’s a bit like broth. In fact, maybe this tea would be better as a base for a soup. I think that’s how I’ll attempt to use the rest of the box. It’s not cutting it as a tisane.

This is one of my favorites. I use both the bagged and loose-leaf versions Pu-erh purists will probably frown on this tea, but I’m not a big fan of pu-erh and this one doesn’t taste earthy. The blend of flavors works very well together, and I think the tea enhances the chocolate flavor.

I was pretty excited about this when it came out; I thought I would love it. In fact, I remember taking a survey from Numi prior to the release of these savory tisanes. I love tomato, I love savory flavors – what’s not to like? Well, somehow none of the Numi savory tisanes make it as something that I want to drink from a mug. Put it in a soup, and maybe. It doesn’t taste bad. It just doesn’t taste “right.”
