Culinary Teas

I enjoyed this tea. I love anything strawberry, especially in the flavor of teas. I would of enjoyed more cakey/pastry flavoring. It has a touch of creaminess to it. I would buy this tea again. Enjoyed plain, but I could see milk in this.

I prefer black currant as a flavor to red. This has a touch of sour that currants can have. The black currants have a richer, fruity taste I love. It’s an okay tea, it needed sugar to enjoy. The tea base was decent.

This tea has wonderful characteristics. There is a great fruity flavor while also being full-bodied. Using milk only makes this tea more great. I recommend this tea to anyone that likes black tea. I

Refreshing tea. The taste of the strawberry is prominent and doesn’t taste artificial at all. This will be a staple in my home, for sure!

Fantastic Earl Grey! The vanilla in this tea makes it wonderfully creamy and goes well with the bergamot. I think I like this tea more than Culinary’s standard Earl Grey; there is no bitterness in this cup. It is just very smooth and is meant to be savored.

A nice tea. Milder than Culinary’s regular Earl Grey, this is a very sweet and aromatic. i like this version of the Cream Earl Grey. I recommend trying it.

This is a great tea. I love the jasmine + Earl Grey notes. The Assam is a bold note. Great with breakfast (I’m having some Sin Dawg: http://www.daveskillerbread.com/sindawg.shtml – so very yummy!)

The tea is smooth, slightly sweet, a little bitter, malty, rich and very interesting. My taste buds are kept interested as I sip with all these different tastes going on.

It’s alright, the first chocolate tea I’ve tried as long as I can remember.
Well, I shouldn’t say that… this has been sitting at teh back of my cupboard for over a year, relatively untouched. I did have one cup of it before…

Anyways – it is a touch minty and watery, and I’m not getting a lot of chocolate flavour. Guess I just wanted to try something different this morning and it’s ‘meh’.

Put in a touch of milk and sugar but it didn’t help the situation too much. I’ll pass on the second steep!

An awesome Irish Breakfast! A hefty cup of tea, plenty of malt, rich and delicious. A beautiful caramel-sweet undertone. A great, invigorating cuppa!

Ok so the tea I actually had is by tao of tea but my computer is messed up and I can’t load it proper so this will have to do!!! SO FRUSTRATED!
Anyhow, I’m not a big fan of fruity teas, so this will naturally get a lower rating from me. Just an fyi!
The first infusion was far too fruity for me, in a tart way. and too “green”. I suppose I should have washed the leaves first, but I usually don’t have the forethought to do so. Not to mention, I need to get some work done! ha.
Anyhow, the second and third infusion were MUCH better. There was a sweet strawberry note that came out overtop of the green which I really enjoyed. If it had been a deeper base, I may have actually considered repurchasing this one.
Not that far off from my Strawberry White from DTs, but nowhere near as tasty, for me. If you enjoy fruity green teas, this is definitely a must try!!

The flavors here are very well-balanced. The chocolate is not as strong as I would normally want, but, here it works well, because it is well matched by the level of peppermint and black tea. It has a very harmonious taste to it that my sweet tooth and the chocoholic in me are both responding to very positively.

Delicious.

As some of you probably know, I am not a huge fan of Lapsang Souchong. The smoky essence tends to be a bit overwhelming to my palate. But, I have been attempting to gain some appreciation for it. And some I have actually enjoyed. They will probably never become a favorite tea of mine, but, it’s nice that I’m able to actually brew and drink the tea now.

This has a very strong aroma. Very smoky. The flavor is a crisp, smoky taste with a distinct woodsy taste to it. Like its been slow-smoked over oak. I can taste the subtle hints of oak as well as a faint note of dark cocoa. Beneath those flavors there is a beautiful caramel sweetness.

A very nice Lapsang Souchong.

SIPDOWN! Lots of spices in the bottom! VERY peppery! WOW!

backlogging…tremendous!

I got at least 6 strong and sturdy infusions out of this earlier today…it was a wonderful thing…see other notes…upping rating…

This is a black tea I would enjoy any morning! You, see, I try and start every morning with at least 1 black tea and then go from there!

This is quite strong and I like it very much! It has a pleasing astringency to it, too!

As always, I drink this straight up! No additives…I see almost all who have enjoyed this drink with additions such as cream and/or sugar, but for me…the strength and stand alone is awesome for my morning brew! RAWK ON Queen Mary! RAWK ON!

This is an awesome tea! I started drinking it while it was hot, then, I decided to let it chill. It is absolutely delicious chilled! So refreshing. The berry flavor is well pronounced without tasting fake. It isn’t too sweet, it has a nice berry tartness at the tail. The sencha tastes fresh and light.

I will miss this one, as I’m sending the rest to my Sororitea Sister.

This is really good. When it is piping hot, I notice that it starts out a little harsh, but, as the tea cools, the flavors begin to pop. It is sweet, creamy, and berry delicious! I’ll have this one again soon and write more, including a full-length review for SororiTea Sisters.
