mmmmm! I haven’t had this one in a long time so i pulled it out this morning. Another half sipdown since i finished off the one bag i had and started on the second. That makes me feel good – since there’s a wagon load of tea on its way for me to try. My other half thinks i like tea so much because i get mail, i can write about it and he pretty much doesn’t think i’ll ever get down to a reasonable list of favourites since i’ll never stop finding new tea companies and new teas. lol He might be right, but Butiki teas is probably at the top of my list of places to reorder from and keep going back to.
This Mango lassi is no exception…see previous tasting notes but all in all this is a really nice mango tea. I don’t like it cold brewed as much as i enjoy it hot brewed.
Finally got around to cold brewing this one and its delicious! I added a bit of honey to bring out the sweetness just a bit and it is fantastic! I think this will be wonderful when summer rolls around again as a cold brew. Really digging the way the mango pops as a cold brew with the little bit of sweetener.
So I really need to try this iced sometime. I seriously love this tea – though it always throws me for a loop on the first sip because it’s hot and because of the taste I’m expecting a cold smoothy type drink :) I really think Stacy nailed this one and for anyone who enjoys mangos it’s a keeper.
I’m thinking maybe Butiki has an opportunity to develop some perfumes with all of the amazing scents their teas have j/k While I enjoyed this tea quite a bit – the flavour lingers like a friend who’s having a great time and doesn’t want to leave – I’m beinning to think that i’m not a huge fan of Rooibos. Still a great tea but lower on my list than the others because of the rooibos.
Sipdown! YAY mostly because my Verdant order arrived today and I still have an incoming Butiki Order. So at least that’s one more tea package that I can say is gone…though there will likely be a re-order of this one in the future lol. As always really enjoying the delicate raspbery/chocolate balance stacy managed to achieve here. so tasty! Really looking forward to how she manages to craft the new blend from whomever wins the contest!
I guess 3 months is fast lol. I focus on things when they get close to the bottom. Right now I have 10? That I’m focusing on ish…. So I try to have at least 1 a day of that smaller group. Tough keep in mind my ONE entry is equivalent to 2-3 cups. I fill travels mugs full of things heh.
She just doesn’t have as much tea as us. :P I wish my stash was more organized so I could take a pic of it so people could see how overboard I’ve gone… hahahahahahahaha.
soon as I get a few days off, at home, I am sorting through my stash and posting it! it’s odd, I have so many teas and yet I’ve only made a few orders…
This was a great start to my morning. I’d have gone for something on the stronger side, but when I opened the cupbaord, this is the tea that called out to me. Last night my other half managed to wake me up 3 times with his snoring, something that rarely happens. It was so bad that i ended up sleeping in the other room after the 3rd time, which got me to sleep but not enough. So i’m tired today…so very tired. And busy…and i have to go to the gym tonight because i promised myself i’d stick with it even though i’m not currently seeing a personal trainer…and it’s the last thing i want to do!!! All i want to do is run home to my comfy bed…full of warm and covers and yes please. but instead i’m at work…drinking this tea, and that’s nearly as good.
So another Butiki Tea….probably going to be a lot of these in the next few days as I work through my first order :) This tea smells like a real raspberry truffle! Once i smelled the tea I was a little unsure of how i’d feel drinking it but I guess i should know better by now when it comes to butiki. This tea is delicious! I don’t have much experience with chocolate teas but this is an entirely different beast. Rather than punching you in the face with FLAVOUR! the tea eases into your mouth and casually walks up to let you know that yes… the raspeberry truffle HAS arrived.
mmmm cold brewed delicious! I needed a break from hot tea so i grabbed this one out of the fridge. I’m getting down to my last of this tea and it’s been a good run. I really like this as a cold beverage. Going to save what i have left for a hot brew so that tonight i can do a final comprision so i know if this should be in my “summer” cupboard or it can be there year round lol
Todays tea is brought to you by the letters O.M.G in partnership with the colour RED! as in holy crap the sun and skyline is red today. I haven’t been getting up as early in the past week so today was a nice change. I was able to watch the sun come up while i waited for the bus. One more personal training session and then i’m on my own to keep it up. Going to have to find motivational tea! or maybe no more tea orders until i get through a month on my own heh.
I really love this tea. It’s a splash of sunshine in my mouth!
I’m a big fan of the morning workout (if I have time). That way it’s done and over with before I am too grumpy AND it boosts my metabolism and energy. Just a thought. : )
Missy…totally!
Uniquity – I’m at work at 7am. I’m not going to the gym early lol Instead I tend to hit the gym right after work so i’m in and then out again before the “after work” crowd comes and it gets busy. Also means i’m home in time for dinner!
mmmm… I haven’t had a chance to get to DT’s yet at the suggestion of The Tea Fairy for my sore throat so this is my morning choice. It’s a bit of a grey day here in Toronto, and combined with feeling under the weather i’m up to my usual tricks to not let the depressing outside ruin my mood. I wanted something that not only tasted wonderful but would give me something to smell that would put a smile on my face. This tea certainly does that! It boggles my mind every time i drink it just how wonderful the flavouring is in this. While I know their cantelope and cream is out winning award, I have to say that this Butiki Tea is also one of my favs.
This is a free sample thrown in to my Butiki order. Thanks! I’ve never had an actual mango lassi, but if it tastes similar to this tea I think I would love it. Although the aroma is heavy on the rooibos, the flavor is creamy mango all the way. This will definitely be going on my shopping list! I need some more decaf options for the evenings.
mmmm finished up the last of this today. I think i might like creamy eggnog a bit more than this in terms of the blending of the cream + ingredients but this IS still one of the few flavoured greens that i love and will continue to keep picking up when the mood strikes!
Love this one too. Unrelated, but do you find Creamy Eggnog and Birthday Cake similar like many others do?
Reeeeally, that’s interesting because I didn’t like Birthday Cake either (hello, edamame beans?) so I keep passing up on Creamy Eggnog assuming they’d be the same for me.
Sorry for the confusion…yes it’s a white..I kinda lump whites and greens in the same bucket lol
I can send you some creamy eggnog later for you to try. It’s…mouthier? Than birthday cake….more of a depth to it or something….
Nah, don’t worry about it! I can just throw in the smallest size in my next order. I’m sure I can easily get through it.
Haha at lumping whites and greens together. I imagine you mean in terms of not typically drinking them but liking a select few. I feel similarly.
I had this in the afternoon as well – i’d forgotten how much i love this, which i think i say nearly every time i drink it haha. Just a happy tea to drink when i’m looking for a non black tea.
Heh well work from home days and weekends yes :) normal days = not as many. I’m also lucky in that caffeine doesn’t see. To affect me….at least in tea heh. Coffee is another story :)
I seem to be the same way with the caffeine in tea. Ha ha ya coffee gives me the shakes ha ha. I try so hard to at least drink one tea a day. My 2 days off….. oh man! All hell breaks loose and I’m a mad man with tea!
It’s been awhile since I had this one. I think I liked Watermelon Xylo better, but they were both tasty!
I agree with Terri, Watermelon Xylophone was the better one to me (even though they were both good). Although, that might boil down to my preferring watermelon to cantaloupe in general as far as actual fruit goes.
SIPDOWN!
FML i’m working from home tomorrow just so i can have a tea drinking day before the weekend. lol yes… i cheat! :) Really love this tea and will totally need to pick more up once i drink a few more.
