This is interesting! It’s Gingery but the Rooibos cuts the harshness a little and I like that! It has a certain herbal/medicinal type taste to it that is somewhat surprising for flavored rooibos but seems to work real well here! There is a nice sweetness to it that almost tastes a little citrusy to me. This is pretty good and a Ginger I can handle! Nicely done! Special thanks to LiberTEAs for this one!
Thank you LiberTEAs!!!!! I received your package today!!!!
This was the first one I tried and I have to say I LOVE IT!!!! The spices are well rounded and blend well together – there isn’t one spice that overpowers the others and I like that. The spice is very nice and not too much to handle. There is a surprising sweetness to this that lies underneath the spices and black tea…it’s lovely!
I love this Earl Grey. Here is my full-length review of it: http://sororiteasisters.com/2011/02/03/classic-earl-grey-from-butiki-teas/
It is nice to be tasting this tea now – last time I tried it, I was coming down with the cold that I had a week and a half or so ago, now that I’m well over that, it is nice to actually taste this tea and all its flavor!
The bergamot is crisp and delicious here! The scent is strong, just like I want it to be – and the flavor is strong too. Here there is a nice balance between tea and bergamot. The bergamot is flavorful but doesn’t overwhelm the black tea blend. The black tea is strong and bright in flavor.
An excellent Earl Grey!
Preparation
Well, despite my attempts to fight it, I have come down with the cold that my youngest daughter brought home with her over the holiday. So, this is going to be the last of “new” (err… that is, new to me!) teas that I will be drinking until I feel better, because my taste buds just aren’t up to it.
This is probably much better than it tastes to me right now, so I am not going to rate it until I can taste it with healthy taste buds.
I received this as a sample from Butiki Teas. The scent is intoxicating. I will definitely be placing an order of this in the future. Peaches!
The liquor is a nice yellow color. The taste was so sweet and peachy with the floral undertones. Delicious. It stood up to multiple steeps. Love love love!!!
Preparation
So I finished up another tea! This one is delicious and someday I’m looking to purchase more. For now, I have to keep drinking all the tea in my cupboard! Strawberry goodness! Reminds me of strawberry yan yans or strawberry pockys.
Preparation
I think my mind is playing tricks on me! I decided to brew up a mug of this instead of using a gaiwan and drinking out of my pretty teacup. I don’t think it tastes as great (even though this is a GREAT tea!) this way. Still yummy and full of strawberry goodness. I’ll have to brew it the old way next time!
Yum! The scent is strong in this blend! It smells like strawberry cream. The oolong leaves are beautiful and green and are curled up. Along with the leaves are small pink flowers? or balls. It adds to the beauty and might somehow contribute to the flavor. The steep was a nice bright yellow. The taste – WOW. I can’t describe it. It is sort of like strawberry but with a mix of floral tones and sweetness. It is delicious. I want to make a huge jug of this and chug it down. It is so good. I love this tea! I love the lychee oolong as well. WOW!
It withstood several steeps. After each steep, the strawberry flavor faded a little and the floral tones began to stand out. Still, the leaves had such an intense strawberry scent. I steeped it about 5 times and shared it with my boyfriend. We are both fans of this and the lychee oolong! I am impressed yet again! woo!
I posted some photos on flickr. Old photos are there as well: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clanez/5340164745/
Preparation
Lychee!! I love lychee! The aroma of this tea is intoxicating. As the dark green leaves unfurled, the scent hit me in the face once again! I knew it was love. The liquor is a nice bright yellow color. The wet leaves are pretty and medium large sized. A little goes a long way. Upon tasting it, I tasted the lychee Ive been missing this whole time. It is very sweet and juicy and has a nice green, earthy and floral tone as I sip more and more. I steeped this about 4 times, and the lychee flavor became lighter and the florals became stronger.. :)
Very excellent blend! I am very pleased and impressed.
Preparation
Ahhhhhh! YUM!
White Peaches! Tastes JUST LIKE White Peaches! Sweet and juicy! Very nice!
I want to go on record saying that I think Butiki has some of the BEST flavored oolongs I have tasted so far! YUM!
If you like Peach – try this! If you are looking for a nicely flavored Oolong…TRY THIS!
squeaky clean – highly flavored -but still true Oolong! YUM!
Pleasantly sweet aftertaste! Lovely!
My stomach feels a bit uneasy so I decided to try this and see if it helps.
The flavor is quite nice. The ginger is a little spicy, but not overpowering. I can’t really taste much from the rooibos, perhaps a little bit of the woody/nutty taste in the background but it is certainly not a dominant presence. There is a sweet taste to this too that really makes this very yummy. It’s a lot sweeter than I thought it would be.
It’s really quite pleasant and as far as my stomach goes, I think it’s doing the job!
