Every time I have a Butiki tea it makes me sad because I’m that much closer to losing my stash. I can’t get anymore of this lovely cookie tea. Full of almond vanilla goodness.
Flavors: Almond, Cookie, Vanilla
Preparation
Have you tried Almond Sugar Cookie from Simpson & Vail? I’ve heard it’s quite good and have thought about ordering some. I love almond vanilla teas too!
@Teatotaler while it does look good, the shipping to Canada would probably kill my tiny tiny wallet. It’s why most of my tea orders come with free shipping otherwise I pay the same in shipping $$ as I do for the actual items (sometimes more).
Hehe I knew I was hiding some more of this vanilla, almondy goodness! I didn’t have time before work to steep for the full 4 minutes though. It’s okay because this didn’t suffer too much. Unfortunately Butiki closed some time ago so if you didn’t grab any, you might not be able to get some now. Unless someone is hoarding it I like I was :D It reminds me of my favourite cookie from Mexico.
Flavors: Almond, Cookie, Vanilla
Preparation
Ooh, Mexican cookies. Are they only found in Mexico or is it something you can buy in store where you are?
It’s similar to Imperial cookies but without the red stuff. So it’s a big cookie with an almond vanilla icing on top. You can buy them at the Walmart in Mexico if I remember correctly. The parents always bring me back some when they are down there.
Hmm I haven’t had those cookies but judging by the pictures, they look kind of like Linzer cookies so I can see the appeal.
This is my last cup for the night and I love it :D I don’t know why the name was changed from almond cookie, but it will always be almond cookie tea to me :D
Preparation
When your day goes to hell it’s nice to have a comforting cup of tea :D
Preparation
It was mostly a general comment, thanks for the hugs though :D It wasn’t really hell, just me forgetting stuff, worrying about other stuff. All is well in the land of tea once more :D
It’s almond and cinnamon, it’s perfect! I love it :D
Preparation
Pretty tasty :D I’m debating whether or not I should try this with milk…
Preparation
I’m not sure exactly what I’m tasting but it’s good. I’m drinking it without sweetners of any kind (milk, splenda, etc..)
Hahahaha, that’s the way most of my tasting notes should read. “Tasty but I can’t place any of the flavours”!
i love this tea. its my special treat or reward tea. i think i’m going to have to make some now. yums!
Stacy your stuff is sooo good it’s too hard to pick a favourite now… and I still have some to try :D
This is awesome!
I noticed the fruit tones immediately – peach with hints of citrus. Sweet with a slight sour note that arrives just before mid-sip, and disappears almost as quickly as it appears. Nutty with hints of roasted flavor. A deep, delicious tasting Oolong – this is the Oolong for those who don’t really like the floral tones of the typical green Oolong – this one has no real discernible floral tones, but instead more woody, almost masculine kind of flavors that are a little reminiscent of a Darjeeling, but with a smoother, thicker mouthfeel and flavor.
Very lovely.
As most of you may remember my addiction to this tea is… well let’s call it astronomical. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find a replacement. Most other places only deal with Mates.. those crazy people!! I want Guayusa! So I’ll have to try to make this oh so lemony creamy goodness on my own. I can pick up plain Guayusa from DT and then I just have to figure where to get the rest of the ingredients. Thank goodness I still have some left!
Flavors: Creamy, Lemon
Preparation
I’m having this cold as I have lost the hot water tank thingy in the Cafeteria as it’s closed while construction is going on. I miss having instant hot water when I want it though. Easier and quicker just to make cold tea for now :D If I could use my own kettle it would be great but the building has banned personal kettles/heaters… (grumble, grumble)
Flavors: Creamy, Lemon
Preparation
I needed this yummy lemon~y oh so freakin’ good tea. I wish I had bought more of it when Butiki was still making such a yummy tea. I still can’t find a replacement… everyone wants to add orange or some other citrus and all I want is a creamy lemon taste and a caffeine kick to get me through the tough days. The search continues….
Flavors: Lemon
Preparation
I need my lemony caffeine. Why there aren’t more lemon guayusas out there I’ll never know. The closest thing I can find is mates. I shall keep looking but so far no replacement is good enough to fill the void this tea will leave once it is finally gone. Lemon creamy good tea.
Flavors: Creamy, Lemon
Preparation
Starting my midnight shift with a this yummy creamy lemon caffeine kick of a tea. I was out yesterday for Ingress’ First Saturday event and managed to win a prize for levelling up. It was quite interesting to meet the other players in person. I’m still trying to hang on to this tea as long as possible until I find a suitable replacement.
