82 Tasting Notes
I mostly taste the honeybush, with a bit of rooibos and coconut. I can’t taste the banana. I made it hot and let it cool for five minutes, as instructed.
It cooled off a lot before I finished it. I added some ice, and it’s good that way too. The rooibos stands out a bit more when iced. Something tastes almost minty now, odd. I like it.
Flavors: Coconut, Mint, Rooibos

I got this recently with a 52teas sale. I tried it with my friend Sara while enjoying this week’s Doctor Who. She got it in the same sale.
The brewed tea smells of black tea and vanilla.
The assam itself has a nice, rich flavor, with something like a citrus note. The vanilla is a nice complement for the flavor. I don’t taste any marshmallow, but I’m still happy with this tea. Oh! I have marshmallows, and I was kind of hoping for that flavor, so…
Floating a single marshmallow in the cup doesn’t change the flavor from what I can tell, but it is fun. Thanks, 52teas! I like.

This came stocked in my hotel room at the Spencer Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. I like it best with a shorter steep. I drank it plain. For a breakfast tea, it’s not overly bitter. I detect a slight malty note. Overall it’s pleasant and drinkable, good for waking up / staying awake when you need to keep to a schedule because of jet lag.
Flavors: Malt, Tea

At the San Francisco International Tea Festival last year (2018), I received a sample box of Yorkshire black tea. I wanted to pick up something simple to make at work, and found they had regular Yorkshire, and Yorkshire Gold. I had to try the Gold.
The bags come two-by-two (have to separate them) and without strings, just like Celestial Seasonings.
The brewed color is very gold! I think it would stain easily.
This is an excellent CTC black tea. I taste some malt and molasses notes. It’s similar to their regular black tea, but a little naturally sweeter and brighter.
Flavors: Malt, Molasses, Sweet, Tea

I’m coming off being sick and remembered I had this with my freebies from the SF Tea Fest. I taste strong citrus and ginger, feels good on my throat, even though it burns a bit. I don’t know how nice it would be if my throat weren’t a little sore, but it’s nice enough now.
Flavors: Citrus, Ginger

Disclosure: This was a freebie from the company, promoted in the Steepster forums.
I added nothing to it. It’s very smooth, with caramel and floral notes. It has a nice complex flavor for a black tea brewed western style. Thanks for the free tea!
Flavors: Caramel, Floral

I saw this for the first time today at the supermarket near my office. It’s a bottled tea, and it was set out on a shelf, unrefrigerated. The weather has turned hot, and there’s no refrigerator in my office. I thought about it, then stashed one bottle behind some larger refrigerated coffee bottles. I came back over an hour later, and it was still there, and nicely chilled!
It’s a very light tea at the beginning of the sip, and then the roasty flavor hits mid-sip, with perhaps a hint of mugicha. And then I’m sitting with a family at a road stop in southern Japan in the summer, cooling off with a refreshing beverage much like this one. And then there’s a citrus note at the end of the sip. I will be buying more of this.
Flavors: Citrus, Roasted, Roasted Barley, Tea
The smell of the leaf is root beer perfection. I brewed this hot, poured a finger into another cup, and stuck it in the fridge. I tried it hot, and it’s pretty good, root beer with vanilla and wood notes.
Oh yes, I prefer it cold. This is a fun tea! It’s a bit more woody cold, which is a little odd, but I like it. Thanks, 52teas.
Flavors: Root Beer, Vanilla, Wood

My friend went to visit her dad, and he bought this for her. Then he said he didn’t want it in his house and sent it home with her. She wasn’t a big fan and gave it to me. So I brought it to work.
It contains peppermint. That’s it. That’s also the only flavor I could pick out. It’s more pleasant and rounded than, say, a candy cane. Given that, it’s not bad.
Flavors: Peppermint

Ginger and cardamom forward, this chai is nice. There are subtle cinnamon notes and a touch of coconut, vanilla, and lapsang souchong. I couldn’t make out any of the rum flavor.
I brewed it and added just enough vanilla almond milk to cool it down to my preferred temperature.
I’ve been sipping down teas from my Advent calendar at home and drinking bagged tea at work that I’ve already reviewed, mostly Steven Smith flavors. So this is my first tasting note in a while. Arrrr.
Flavors: Cardamon, Cinnamon, Coconut, Ginger, Smoke, Vanilla
